The woman got very mean and said you had it and I need your credit card number to pay your bill, I told her a***n, never had Earthlink and don't call me a***n. Well I got around 40 more messages from a computer call on the answer ma****e. I call yes****ay and told them never to call this number a***n. She said that I owe this amount, more than $700 now and I said, never had that internet, I need your credit card to pay the balance. I guess I need to get a different number, harrasing call are getting old.

They are routing there call to a different country. my friend paid them over the phone with his credit card and got over $4,000 dollars in charges on it. They buy debt to get your attention, and if you give it, then you will be ripped off. Don't do it. You card (account) will be over charge, you can't stop it till you canc. your account or card.

In reading the entries below, I now know what this number is...they said call back at the referenced number. Caller I.D. did not identify the tel. no. from which the call originated. In reading the comments below on this 800 836 3570 no., this used to be peoplepc. I used to pay them one year (and had so for a number of years ) IN ADVANCE, thereby getting the optimal rate, BY CHECK. Do not EVER give an account number for any internes service to bill you. You will forever and ever amen have trouble w/ them. McAfee the same way ******. So they can call for ever and ever on a $12 charge. As far as I'm concerned, the deal timed out when my last year's prepaid subscription expired. I also called these folks and indicated I wanted account closed, which they said they would do. Hopefully all (else)is well in New Delhi.

The pre-recorded message keeps calling here but it doesn't give any information about what the call is about. It just wants me to call back. The frightening thing is it had my name and I could have sworn it said "Correction agency" and the worst thing I've ever done is gotten s***ding tickets so I felt very alarmed. I wish that they wouldn't do this because it's kind of scary. They should have a human call and explain what the situation is all about.

I have not had an earthlink acct for 4 years - my wife reopen the acct 3.75 years ago under her name and has since dropped the acct and earthlink still drew funds from her checking acct until April of this year when the acct number was c****e. Now they are trying to get me to pay for services that were never used. We have high s***d internet with another provider. Earthlink reopened the orginal acct without my permission after I cancelled.

I keep getting a call from this number that then leaves a number for me to call back concerning a debt collection. I have call the number multiple times to inquire about this message. There is no answer or message. The calls are always in the evening and each time I've called back was within moments of receiving their call. I am not aware of any debt and there is no information provided by the message.

I have been receiving calls from them too. I orginally had my internet through Sprint...who used Earthlink...now that Sprint has sold thier local service to Embarq...I have Embarqmail. Earthlink wants me to pay for "continued Service" that I never had with them. Does anyone have an address for thic collection agency? I'd like to send them a letter to cease and desist.

I have heard nothing from them for at least 3 years, now they are calling my cellphone. They are trying to collect on an account that has already been paid, resolved and finally a complaint was filed after I spoke with their headquarters and they continue to call. I began receiving calls from 1-800-836-3570 - they are called CAA and collect debts sent from Earthlink. I called and came to find they said I owed a sum. I literally spent a collective 4 hours on the phone with everyone from Earthlink to Embarq to Sprint to CCA - to make a long story short - call earthlink and ask them to send you some proof of what you owe - as soon as I asked them to produce proof because my records did not gel with theirs - the problem was magically solved and they said they would clear it all up. I have my finger's crossed that they will. I still plan on contacting some form of office because this was all a great annoyance.

Earthlink fraudulently signed me up for monthly Norton Antivirus protection without my consent and sent bills to a 3 year old former address for months, then referred me to a collection agency for $40+ dollars! They are unethical and dishonest and when I tried to call CCA at 800-836-3570 to straighten out the problem they put me on hold for 22 minutes and then disconnected me. I tried to call back and they were closed! Earthlink supposedly reversed all the fraudulent charges when I challenged them but I can't get a hold of CCA to let them know. I also spent several hours on the phone trying to get to the bottom of this.

I'm sure this about what they are calling "early termination." I was with Earthstink for almost 8 years! They misrepresented some products, services, and fees to me. They refused to send me a shipping label, so I paid to send the stuff back and filed a dispute with my credit card company. Then EARTHSINK cut ME off! THEY terminated ME in retaliation for the dispute to make sure I got my money back. Since these collectors buy the debt for $.10 on the $1.00 that's good information to have!

When I returned the call immediately, the call center was closed. If this has negatively affected my credit, I will be EXTREMELY ANGRY. I will never, ever do business with Earthlink a***n, and I will spread that word to others. They make it almost impossible to cancel, and when you finally do, they keep calling about non-payment.

This was over 1 1/2 years ago. I asked them to close my account and had to switch service and they charge me for months owed after I already switched service.

I cancelled my Earthlink account by writing please cancel on my bill and quit using their service....Earthlink said since I didn't call and tell them that I owe for 3 months that I was not using their service.
