It is REAL!! Listen to the voice mail they leave you! They are not asking you to call the 1.800.830.8574 #back. I'm with a credit union. whenever I have a frequency of transactions or larger than usual amounts they call or block my card until they have heard from me. They are the fraud dept. they handle multiple accounts. They give you a Specific # to call for the sole purpose of you not having to answer uncomfortable questions. If you Just LISTEN to the message left for YOU. Call the # ALL THEY WILL ASK YOU IS THE # YOU RECEIVED THE MESSAGE ON &TO VERIFY YOUR FIRST&LAST NAME. They, at that point, will tell you the bank/company the questionable charges were made on. They will tell u the charges&dates you say yes or no. if they are yours the call is done. I also work at a bank that backs several credit cards. If you call the original card that called you yes you have to confirm more information. Why you ask? Because they don't know you just as you don't know them. You don't have to believe me but use the the card that the the questionable charges were made on. You will be the one that gets denied at the register or online until you call the bank or the bank that issues your credit card. Just listen to your message. At anytime the rule is if u ever feel uncomfortable call the number on your card & ask for the fraud dept.
