They call and send letters to us. It is a debt that 1) is over 7 yrs old and 2) was filed under chapter 7 and 3) I am turning them in to the FTC if they call my house one more single time.I have an attorney already, and I will ask her what I can do legally to go after these jokers.I must say they use some pretty scheming tactics to get you to pay up. Take for example they offered us a 70% reduction on the bill which was filed under chapter 7. I can only imagine how many people fall for this ****. People if you get ANY calls or bills in the mail for things over 7 yrs old it is no longer on your credit, UNLESS it is a foreclosure which I believe stays on for 10. Thing is companies like this would not be coming after you for that. Anyone can get a free copy of their credit report online once a yr. www.annualcreditreport.com You can pull up ALL 3 bureaus. This way you will know for sure if these debts are indeed off of your credit.

THIS COMPANY IS IN TROUBLE WITH THE GOVERNMENT DUE TO THEIR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AND NUMEROUS CONSUMER COMPLAINTS.Don't bother to talk to these losers, most of whom are unemployable at any other job. Don't even bother to challenge their claims. If you do, you'll never hear the end of it.These are real bottom feeders who try to collect on old debt, much of it past the statute of limitations. They are perfectly aware of this, but are looking for just the right ****ers to coerce into paying anyway. Of course, if you make the mistake of talking to them and agree that that old debt of yours did exist at one time, this nevertheless s****s the time clock all over a***n and... voila!... you owe the debt a***n.SOMETIMES YOU'LL SEE POSTS FROM THEM ON MESSAGE BOARDS SUCH AS THIS. Very easy to spot. You know... all those "helpful" posts telling you the names of exactly who at that company to call, etc. Remember that they are paid on a commission basis.

I received a robot call that named me and requested that I call 800-824-6191 about important personal business. In California, I believe that robots are required to identify the caller and allow me put my number on their do-not-call list. This robot did neither and refused to disconnect despite my repeated ****-ups. Thank God I didn't need the phone for an emergency. I called 800-824-6191 and they said that I owed a debt and wanted me to verify personal information. I told them that I:1. disputed the debt,2. they are not to call me,3. they are not to have their robot call me,4. would record future calls,5. want them to send a letter,6. so that I can sue them.This appeared to have no effect except that they wanted to verify an address, so I began repeating myself at high volume because evidently they did not hear or understand me. And then they ***g up. Since I have a name-only phone listing, I suppose that subjects me to their unwanted calls because someone with my name *might* have a debt they *might* be legitimately collecting. Please, when I request a letter, we should be done.

This computer generated call comes every morning right after 8 am even on Sunday, leaves the same message, never identifying themselves or what they want, only that they need to speak to me about personal business. If they want to talk to me so bad, write a letter and tell me what you want.
