Scammers who target South Asian immigrants. They appear as the real USCIS number, but that isn't their actual number, and that number does not even allow outgoing calls, so... Anyway, if you refuse to comply (even asking them for some form of proof that they are really w the government), they yell at you and tell you the police will come for you in a half an hour to deport you. Obviously, they don't. No real government employee would act like that. They make use of fear****ering tactics, but don't believe them.

I received a call first on my home phone and then my cell. It was a Mr. John Thomas from USCIS. Gave me case file no, docket no, his designation. Said there was a problem in my immigration paperwork and I should pay a certain amount as interim fine till it was sorted out. I got upset after a while and cut his call. Haven't heard from him myself but he did call my husband on his cell and repeated the story about fine. My husband told him to give his extension no to be called from USCIS listed numbers and the person ***g up.

I have just received a phone call first at my home and then to my cell phone. Mr Medison (or similar to that) said that he is the agent of USCIS and they have reported a complain about my immigration status. I knew that USCIS never called to the residents of United States. So upon asking his name and his designation, he was *****ed up and kept saying me that he is going to transfer the phone to his Officer. An Officer (so called) came over the phone but there was a big disturbance happened and phone was disconnected. And when I tried to call that number, was a very weird type of noise heard and phone was disconnected. I am waiting for another call from them so I can slap them over the phone with few bad words. I was totally lauded over the phone with Mr Medison. Read more at http://www.callercenter.com/800-767-1833.html/4#et8E8Ab7OYVxYYff.99
