Different numbers and different people but same company or scam. The first time they called a man left a message. He said He was sorry and he wished me good luck for whatever may happen to me in the future. So i called back. The first time they ***g up. Second time transfered me to the original caller he said his name was Charles Bryant but had a deeeep Indian accent. I asked him whaat was the call in reguards to he said i owed them money for a loan in the amount of 1500 dollars. Mind you I have NEVER received a loan so I knew it was a scam. I stated that to him and and asked the company name and contact info such as where they were located he YELLED and SCREAMED send the money and ***g up. I called back and he yelled im gonna sue you i'll call back tomorrow and ***g up a***n. this compnay calls my cell and tells me i owe over 7000.00 on a car that was repo'd over 10 years ago. Of which is not showing on my credit report. somehow they got my husbands cell fone number of who i was not married to at the time of the repossesion. then they call my cell fone. when i asked how they got my number they said from an investigator but that it was not relivant as to how they got it. i had not heard from anyone on this car for 8 years. then 2 years ago someone calls me from some other collection company and says i can pay 250 and they will take my name off the contract and my x-husband would be solly responsible. that right there told me they were not legitemate. well unfortunalty they got to my ex-husband and he s****ed paying them.(oh at that time the balance was 5000.00) now 2 years later they are harrasing me a***n but this time it is a diffrent company. now they say i owe over 7000.00. Heres the catch, if they were a legitamate company they would not have talked to my husband now and told him all the information on the account to which he is not on. they also got rude with him and cursed him. professionals do not so this. these people are scam artist. Sorry but your wrong on the statues of limitation. Statues vary by state. Civil action statues are 3 to 6 years (see your state laws), 7 years for credit filings, but the validity of a debt never expires as long as the collection agency can validate the bill (ie, provide copy of the bill, contract, etc). Most collection agencies stop working accounts over seven years old from the date of last charge or date of last payment. Statues on judgments vary by state also, from 5 to 20 years with renewability of the judgement. Most people confuse the civil statues as the collection statues on a debt. Check the law, not some random website. You may get in trouble that way.

This company is trying to collect a Debt which the Statue of Limitations expired 4 yrs. ago. They act like I owe them the money. This company and companies like them are called Scavenger Debt Collectors. They buy old debts and threaten you if you don't pay. There's not a thing they can do. Look up the statue of limitations for your state, it might very well be expired!!!

I have been receiving ongoing calls from this 800-670-9944, ext. 228 number as well. For the first time, I actually received one at my place of employment today, which totally ****ed me off. I asked how you got this information, she said some company provided this info. This account was settled as far as I am concerned way back, however, they are claiming it was charged off and they wanted me to fork up 5000 to settle a 16,000 debt they say I still owe. The lady was extremely rude and wanted me to commit that I either have filed bankruptsy or have an attorney involved. She used every scare tactic known to man. I told her to never a***n call my place of employment and to put that on record. She said she would not commit to that. I then said I would file a complaint. She said go ahead and ***g up on me. These people call all the time. They are now calling me on the job. I don't know who they are trying to collect for, but I will not be harassed. They sound very rude and nasty and I will not deal with that. I only deal with these companies with letters and I give an offer (usually at least 50% off) of any balance that is offered.Thank you everyone for talking about their experience with these people. Repeatedly call looking for previous owner of my cell phone number.I have told them many times I am not that person,and they are looking for a woman and I am a man with a male voice on my voice mail.When I called them today they were extremely rude and the male "manager" yelled at me and threatened me. He said there was nothing any of us could do to stop them.

Same name "Sandy" has called twice now, I'm pretty sure it's a recording because a message was left at 9:09 PM stating that she'd be in her office until 3:00 pm. I tried calling her back the other day at the extension she left but it apparently is an invalid extension. She doesn't say why she's calling (or even who it is she is trying to reach), only that she's "left numerous messages" The one we got on Friday was the first one ever.

I have received at least 4 calls from "Sandy", and another from a different lady's voice. They never ask for anyone in particular, and never say who they are. This needs to stop. If I knew where they were, I'd break some legs, or rather, hands; to stop the calling :-).

these people keep calling looking for a tracey e smith and i have told them numerous times this person does not reside at this number but they keep insisting that they do. The last person said he was charles lewis at x278 and I did call him back twice and left the same message, maybe he's deaf. One other person called and left their name and ext and I did the same with him, haven't heard from him in a while but who knows. I am now trying to find out what state they are in and make a formal complaint with the attorney general because to me this is called harrassment

They left a message saying they've made several attemps. This was the first I'd heard. No name of the company only to call Sandy at ext 111. I called & they answered with no name. I asked where I was calling and they said OCS. When I asked what it was they said multi companies and transfered me to a guy who asked my name and #. When I asked where he was calling from I only got OCS when I asked what it was once a***n he ***g up on me. So****ing is odd here.
