Said they were a debt collection... s****ed asking for my SSN. Here's the thing: All my BofA accounts are in good standing. Absolutely no way this is legit. Either phishing for personal info or trying to **** in a payment over the phone.

Calling from 877 487 8151 claiming to be Bank of America and to call back on 800.669.0102
(800) 669-0102 - February 17th, 2020 6:24pm
W***ver is posting positive comments about this number are probably the scammers themselves - BofA would NEVER do this no matter what the situation. If in doubt - go in to your local ***nch and show them the number or flier it was on and they'll prove it's a scam. They do not leave door ****ers or notes on doors.

800-669-0102... auto recording s****s immediately. "If" B of A were to call YOU... it would be a live person. SCAM!
(800) 669-0102 - August 25th, 2015 7:14pm
It's Bank of America loans ...I am in fact down on a mortgage payment. It's not a scam.
(800) 669-0102 - June 23rd, 2014 7:28pm
Clearly a scam--I do have a B of A mortgage but I am certainly NOT past due, it's actually impossible to be, so SCAM SCAM SCAM--once a***n preying on folks who have less money and might not be sure they're on time, which means they might make a payment on the phone and it goes in these evil people's pockets. SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I keep getting calls from this number, and do not do business in any way with Bank of America. I called them back to get my number removed, but found it impossible to talk to a representative unless you provide them with the last 4 of your social security, a loan number, or an address. The automated message said to call back when you have that info. This must be some kind of scam, no legitimate business would make it impossible to talk to a live person. I believe that the people on these sites who say it is legitimate must be part of the scam

It's a scam. The number was a Valid Countrywide number years ago that phishers grabbed up. Do not call this number, if you have concerns call a number from your BoA account statement. The people listed telling you it's legit are likely scammers, I see them post on all the sites that show up when you google that number telling people to call. I was in foreclosure with BoA and all of their contact was via registered mail or Fedex, they wouldn't send a hand written door ****er. Always use common sense before giving away any personal info.

This is spam and fraud. We don't have a mortgage on our house and received a brown envelope with this number. A***n, WE HAVE NO MORTGAGE. So how is this legit?
(800) 669-0102 - June 8th, 2013 2:16pm
This is not spam or fraud. It is in fact BOA and they collect for mortgages it's a 3rd party collection agency that's why the Bank of America people that would be in a banking ***nch have no idea who they are

This is a legit BoA number. If you have a problem verifying information with someone who just called you, that's perfectly reasonable. Call the number on your monthly statements, 18006696607.
(800) 669-0102 - May 1st, 2012 1:55am
I have found that if I pay my mortgage on time...by the due date. They don't call. If I'm going to be late, I just talk to them and the calls don't come as often. Simple as that. If u owe someone, they have every right to call to find out where their money is...wouldn't u do the same thing with ur pay check if u didn't get it on time?
(800) 669-0102 - April 20th, 2012 2:37am
Callers ask to 'verify' information about a 'loan' they refuse to identify unless we 'verify' the information they are trying to extract. They claim to represent Bank of America, but Bank of America says there is no such debt. The people at 1-800-669-0102 say that they are going to continue to harass us until we give them our confidential information. This is harassment. This is attempted wire fraud. I actually used to work for BAC collections and can tell you this is a legitimate number. It is not a scam. There are new policies in place now so that if they have the wrong number, it can be deleted permanently. If they have the right number and you are delinquent, they will keep calling until your current.

(800) 669-0102 - November 9th, 2011 1:16pm
I have had the same experience. They are a debt collector for BofA (and who knows who else). I tried calling several BofA numbers to speak with a person who works for the bank to clear up the situation, but every number you dial from that phone number circles back to the debt collector. You must use a different phone that has no connection to BofA to get through.

Just got 2 calls today from this number 800-669-0102 which belong to Bank of America. They have been calling me for over 3 months now. I have called them and told them to remove my number from their calling list but they still calling me every single day. From now on I will file a complaint each time they call at "National Do Not Call Registry" https://www.donotcall.gov/ I recommend everybody to file a complaint every time they call. If enough people do it, the government will take action a***nst them and hopefully they will stop.

(800) 669-0102 - September 23rd, 2010 7:22pm
We have been receiving phone calls from the above mentioned phone number on the average of 8 to 10 per day. I finally called this number and it is Bank of American debt collection department. I have not been able to speak to a representative because the recording keeps asking for my account number or SSN. We do NOT or have never had any financial dealing with Bank of America. This company just has the wrong number.
(800) 669-0102 - September 16th, 2010 3:25pm

Have been receiving calls for 6 months. Keep telling them the person they are looking for does not live here. Finally got a number for customer service and was told their system was down and no notations could be made. Have been told this for months. Some days as many as 6 calls are made to our home.

(800) 669-0102 - June 24th, 2010 2:55pm
I keep getting calls from this number. Usually a no message is left. If a message is left, it is a recording that states "call the number and have my account number ready".
(800) 669-0102 - June 18th, 2010 11:57pm
I have been receiving as many as 6 calls a day from this #. They ask for someone I don't know. Sometimes it is a recorded message telling me to call back and to have my account # handy. When I have called, I am asked for my Acct. # or the last 4 digits of my SSN. I don't have the first and I am not going to give them the last. I am unable to get thru to a person it eventually ****s up on me. I paid off my mortgage years ago. I don't know how they got my phone #! If it is a person on the phone I tell them the person they want doesn't live at the # they are calling. It seems as if that person just hands it off to someone else to call me!
(800) 669-0102 - June 17th, 2010 11:50pm
bofa calls its almost 9pm and they **** up when you answer
(800) 669-0102 - June 11th, 2010 4:14pm
The people at this number keep calling me. last year it was about the loan/mortagage of an entirely different person. A message says to call a number and give them your account number but there is no person to talk to since I don't have an account number. Twice an actual person called and I tried to explain the problem but it seemed they just turned it over to someone else to keep pestering me. I think this number may be connected with BOA Home Loan.
(800) 669-0102 - May 13th, 2010 3:04pm
Constant calls. Never a message. I do not owe them anything. I don't even know who they are.

(800) 669-0102 - May 4th, 2010 10:34pm
I have no accounts with Bank of America, not even a savings account, but I received numerous calls from this number. I hope this information helps all of you stop the calls. Received 15 calls from this number in three weeks on my cell phone which is registered annually on the National DO-NOT-CALL List looking for Joseph Dunham, who I am not. 4 of these times, I was nearby the phone and able to answer, and I told the calling representative I am not that person, do not know that person, this has been my number for 3 years and to remove my phone number immediately. The last time they called, I was able to answer for the 5th time, and instead of a humanoid, I was greeted by a recorded voice menu with a salesman-type voice. Without entering an account number or SSN/Zip Code, it told me to **** on while they transferred my call to a real person to update their list. After 60 secs, the call was dropped - they ***g up. I was furious, so I called this number back with an idea. I entered an obviously fake SSN and Zip Code, but the system put me through to a person. The representative with a middle-eastern accent asked for my account number. I explained the situation to him, so he asked for my Name and Phone Number to remove me from the list. I refused to give him my name, so he refused to help me. I got irate and demanded a manager. He patched me through to Christina (also had a middle-eastern accent) verified the situation, and I explained that I would not give them any information beyond the phone number to be removed from the list and the reasons for that (scams, and my name is not their business.) She promised my number would be removed promptly and that I would not receive another call. I asked who I would contact if I did receive another call, and she gave me a fax number...really? No humanoids? I promised her that if I received another call, her company would be hearing from the FTC, FCC, BBB, my local Attorney General, and my personal Attorney, and it would be far from pleasant. After two weeks, I have not received one call from them.

We are business and continue to recieve calls from this number. Once we answer one of two things happen... they either **** up on us or ask for our account number? We do NOT have a home loan through this company and the calls are being annoying. It offers an address to write or fax number but you can never talk to a person!

called on Sat. AM, left a message on our ma****e, said they were from Bank of America home mortgage,we don't have ANYTHING w/ BOA-not even a cc.When I called the # back, just like everybody else, you can't get past the automated system & no way was I putting in my SS#. I tracked down the customer service # for BOA who said they have no record of us by name or address & that it was either a mistake in the system or a scam - I'll go w/ SCAM!!! Whatever you do, don't give them your SS#, I wouldn't even give it to BOA when I called them, I made them search by name & address. ***ODY gets my SS# !!

This is Bank of America Corp mortgage phone number. They bought Countrywide and now they are calling the mortgage division BAC Lending. They call and don't say anything to me though. It's annoying but I was told it's a computer dialing your number.
