Called us too saying it was FEMA. We don’t have a FEMA claim so the scam didn’t work on us!

I had a phone call from a number asking for my personal information to support my FEMA claim, I was su****ious so I did a search on the 800 number that you gave me and I’m seeing that I believe it is a scam. Don’t ever give your personal information, especially Social Security to anyone over the phone unless you contacted them. That’s my number one rule.

It does not appear to be a telemarketer. However. when I received the incoming call, it was stating it was Home Land Security. Even with my SPAM & Scam Filter on the phone this call got thru.

They called my dad said they were from FEMA and wanted to give him some money but needed his bank account number and SS. He's 89 and gave it to them. According to FEMA they would never ask for this info over the phone. Only on line when filling out their forms. This is a scam.
