FMS is a legitimate debt collection agency and does NOT fall under the "do not call" rules. If you have a debt - make arrangements to pay it or file bankruptcy. If you are NOT the person they are looking for then let them know. Usually they have done research and your name or number is****ociated with the person they are trying to find. If you know any information about the debtor (their current name, phone number, cell number, home address, etc.) give that information to FMS and they will promptly remove your number from their calling list. I know this because my husband's ex-wife and her new husband seem to be in debt to everyone and I get these types of calls from many different collection agencies - I give them all the contact info I have and the calls stop. That is until the next time they default on a credit card.

I got a few calls from this number and I get numerous calls every month, apparently my phone number is on some sharing site for thieves. I have never had a credit problem in my life and don't expect to any time soon. I try to help out the collection agencies as much as possible, if you are an upstanding honest member of society I suggest you do the same

Another number used by FMS, a collection agency based in Tulsa, OK, purporting to collect a debt allegedly incurred by my dead son. This outfit wanted me to send a power of attorney before they would tell me what they were calling about. They wouldn't promise not to call a***n because they "didn't know if Patrick was really dead." Definitely a fraudulent bunch.

They just called me for the first time. I did not answer my phone. I googled the number and found out that they are a supposed debt collection company (FMS). Yet I own NO debts. I then call back and got a message that I barely understood. I press 1 to speak to a representative and I am put on hold for a minute. Getting pretty upset that I am wasting pre-paid minutes on this company. Then they tell me that Ext. 2221 is too busy to answer my call but that I should leave a message AND I do. My attorney and I will be waiting for their call. How and the***** did they get me number??? I am on the "Do Not Call List" and they still found me. If you are in my situation your best bet is to call back but do not give ANY information about youself such as : SSN, Address, or Bank Account information. Debt collectors will lie, cheat, and steal just to get you to pay a debt even if it is not you debt. Do not trust them. Do a little internet research and find a way to clear you name if you have to. Knowing a attorney as helps!

Claim looking to see if my husband is right person, wanted his ss#. No go. Have requested twice for them to stop calling as I am on do not call list but he claims he can't do that. Aggravating!!!!

I am not the party they wish to reach. Politely ask them to stop calling my cell phone. They informed me that I need to submit it in writing. I do not need to submit anything to get a business to stop calling my phone. This is black mail to make someone go through a process to get a phone number taken off their call list. Same here, calls himself Walter Smith with FMS. He does NOT state the name of the person he is wishing to contact. A debt collector will send you a bill in the mail along with annoying calls. Best advise: Don't bother answering or just **** up on them as soon as it rings. They just keep calling any freaking way. Maybe it will help put them out of business. Fight fire with fire.

They called me today and also called a couple of days ago. Some people online mentioned they were debt collectors on another site, but my experience indicates they are some auto-dialer/spammer. They may have s****ed the number of a debt collector, I don't know. Anyway, a man's recorded voice says so****ing about SMS and "this is not a sales call" and then I ***g up because I don't like talking to a pre-recorded message.
