It appears that a man using the name Alex scammed me out of $1324.98 under the pretense that he was with Intuit and was selling me the Product Code for 1 year to my QuickBooks Accountant (PAP) Premier software. He called me by phone and said that if I did not pay the $1324.98 immediately (by wire) that I would not be able to use my software. I believed him, wired the money thru my bank to "WIRE REF#20260409-00028124BUS ONLINE DOMESTIC WIRE" ON 04/09/26. I have reported this to Intuit/QuickBooks, they have referred to their Security team, suggested I call my bank, I did and am meeting with the bank tomorrow 06/05/26. I was also told to report this to the police, which I will do shortly. I have spoken with multiple Intuit representatives about this and each one told me that Intuit does not sell Product Codes, separately from the actual software. They insisted that this is a scam.
