I get a bill from CEP/California Emergency Physicians/MedAmerica Billing every time I go to the ER. This is their phone number. Emergency room visits are divided up by what services you use. You get a bill from the hospital itself. The doctor that saw you (they contract with CEP/California Emergency Physicians/MedAmerica Billing.) Then whatever else you got, like I got a bill for my MRI as well that was separate from the hospital and doctor, but still from my emergency room visit. The people at this number are very helpful and businesslike. Usually if they're calling me, the hospital didn't forward my insurance information or address and they need it. Not a big deal. They can't talk to my husband about my accounts because of some government HIPAA regulations. Not their fault, so don't be a **** about it if you call for your spouse/parent/kid's account.
