I received a call which claimed it was from my bank, but said that it was about my debit card. I don't have a debit card ... and when I called my bank's real number, they told me that no calls had been made. IT'S A FRAUD!

this number called and told me to call back regarding a transaction on behalf of 1st financial bank USA to varify recent transations from my debit card. I called back, they told me a transaction was made that i was not aware of. They asked for my last 4 digits of my debit card and the expiration date. They told me they would take it off and to destroy my card, and they would send me a new one in 10-14 days. The number they called from was 1-800-327-8622 and they told me to call back at 800-437-5681.

I got the same thing today. A woman left me a message with the same 800 number so I called and got the automated answering ma****e which prompts you for your phone number then asks for the credit card number that you're calling about! I then ***g up and logged on to PayPal to the resolution center and there's nothing outstanding. I even went one step further and called PayPal directly to verify it wasn't them and they confirmed that it wasn't.

I received a message from this number too. It was my bank calling to verify some transactions. I looked it up on google first and saw the other reports so I called my back and they told me that it is a valid number for the fraud department. Just thought I would pass the message along...

I called the number and then when prompted for the last 4 digits of my card number I entered the wrong ones - this delivered me to a person through whom I could verify what the call was about before providing any information ... in the end it was legit though it certainly sounded phishy.

Automated call that stated my name and asked me to call number to confirm recent transaction. This was supposed to be from my specific banks security department and I could call back 1-800-437-5681; it's open 24 hours a day. This number can't be paypal and my bank- not calling it.

This is my banks fraud dept. number. They don't ask for anything more than the last 4 digits of your debit card number. They monitor your account for unusual transactions and notify you in the even your card has been compromised.
