SCAM ALERT!!!!! I called the number back, they identified themselves as Capital One. They asked for my cap 1 account number. When I wouldn't give that they asked for my phone number, I wouldn't give that. When asked, they couldn't give a reason why they were calling me. I called the number on the back of my capital 1 card. Capital One has no record of this number****ociated with their company. The agent I spoke with at Cap 1 said if they call a***n, ask for an agent number and then call the number on the back of my card to verify.

I got calls about 5 times a day and whenever I answered they would immediately **** up. Ended up calling back and a computer asked for my account number. I just pressed zero about ten times until it finally put me in touch with a customer service rep. She said thanks for calling capital one and asked me for my card number. I said I have never had a capital one credit card and so stop calling me. She asked me for my name and number and then said ok ill remove you from our call list and then ***g up. Will see if I continue to get bogus calls.

They have called several times today. I just called the number anonymously (*67), and it said it was "Card Services" and prompted me to enter the last 4 digits of my card number. It did not specify a particular card. I put in "1234," at which point it said that number wasn't recognized and to enter my FULL card number. Yeah, right! Another credit card number thief! BEWARE!
