They are calling on behalf of telus this is the second number I have for them

The 778-328-9992 number is a fraud operation, s****ing August 10th 2010 they have began calling people a***n, and they began targeting more people on September 16th. They will not leave a message or voicemail regarding the call due to the fact that it could be used as evidence a***nst them. They will first call a group of numbers using an automated dialer, and once the dialer suspects someone has picked up, they are notified and they get on the line to begin their scam (this is why people are receiving messages of music then someone saying*****o). If you waste their time (pick up the phone and put it up to a radio or television), it fools the automated dialer and wastes most of their valuable time for their operation--and if everyone does this, their scam will no longer be profitable.DO NOT give them any information under any cir***stances, and do not answer yes or no to anything. If you do accidentally pick up the phone, your best bet is to waste their time by speaking incoherently or keeping them on the line as long as possible to ultimately lead them into nowhere.Beware that this company has also began targeting message boards such as this, they will pose as an everyday person and pretend to have been called by this number and try to make you scared by claiming the company ruined their credit or took them to court for not paying, the purpose of this is to ultimately scare you into giving them money, don't fall for it. Lastly, the company will also use tricks to break you down, they will scream at you, make you feel guilty for not paying an imaginary bill, use phrases such as "see you in court". What is happening is the original company (CBV Collections) is attempting to make additional profits by creating an additional ***nch for scamming people by persuading them to voluntarily pay for imaginary bills under the phrasing of a "business operation".Call the RCMP, contact your local police, and contact Bell Ca***a. I just got 5 calls in the last hour from this number (778-328-9992), of course I dont answer my cell if I dont know the #, but if it is a scam has no one called the police or Bell and asked them to cancell the # or anything. When I looked into the #, it said it was a Bell account. I dont understand why they would let someone keep a # if it was a #they are doing scams from. Both Bell and this scam company should be charged. If Bell doesnt disconect the # after proof that they are running scams from it, they are just as guilty as the scammers. Im going to report this to the police now. That ringing drives me nuts, my cell is for emergencies not scammers. Has anyone found the address of were these people are calling from? I have a good friend that works for Bell so Im going to get the adress of the account holder, and pay them a visit in person.

Called me at 7:30AM PSTNot from my Time Zone.Asked for me by first name only, and said they were calling about my fido account.I told them to **** off. Fido f**kec me over for 10 years, now I'm giving them a taste of their own medicine.I told them I'd be more then happy to go to court where I would inform the judge of all the illegal practices they used while I was with them.I'd sure like to know how they got my number, it's been almost a year since I heard from them.They have another number: 1-866-387-8751

I keep getting calls from 778-328-9992.  I am on the do not call list, and recently, as of Oct. 2010 , my number is unlisted. I did this so I wouldn't receive these types of calls.  I checked this number on the web, and it's showing it's a scam. I checked it out because everytime they call my number, they ask for someone new. Please look into this, as it's most disturbing.

I received the call yes****ay from this number. Next time they call me, I am going to tell them get the f**k off. Go ***** your *****. and send me your ***** so that I can ***** her. Check back with your *** and **** and call me back to let me know that they are sending his ***** to get *** by me. I would love to ****.

I received a call from this Ph # at 7:45 a.m. today(. I didn't answer the phone) The person (male) said his name, and told me there was  a claim a***nst me and to phone him back within 24 hrs.  I knew that this phone number was probably a cell phone so was su****ious and had to check it out.  Good thing I did!!

They left some creepy alien ****o music on my answer ma****e.o_OI've been trying to figure it out until I decided to look it up.The music weirds me out but it was hilarious, I'm going to save it as long as I could XDIf it weren't for someone mentioning they played an elevator type music I wouldn't have been able to solve the mystery!

This number keeps calling me and always asks for someone other then me. I checked it out, and it's a scam.  The number is 778--328-9992.  I am on the do not call list, and I also had my number c****ed and unlisted to stop these types of calls.. Please look into this or I will notify the police.

Same thing happened to me, they called to let me know of my owing with Telus. ******...never had any account with Telus. The worst thing is they knew my birthdate & my previous address where they say they had traced my owing since 2008.

When I got home today there was a message on my answering ma****e.  Weird music playing, then at the end some guy says "hello?" then ****s up.  This is my first call with the weird music. Creepy is right.

That number has been on going they said I owed a cable bill of 1100 dollars, they couldnt even give me the information as to the address the account came from.

I keep getting calls and the person doesn't live here

I called this number and they are some agency in Vancouver and had me under the name as Matthew. I called them asked that my number to be removed. They are terrible people there. When I called I was quiet upset because they keep calling the cell phone which is a fortune if I were to answer. Anyways since I was upset they ***g up on me. I had to call them twice to have it remove but they promise no more phone calls. The best part they said "Matthew" under this number requested them to call this number. Sounds really fishy to me.

They call me all the time, telling me I owe them money for an old account with Telus... the lovely thing is that I have never had an account with Telus.  They are a collection agency, but aren't concerned with getting in touch with the right person... instead, they argue with you that you aren't who you say you are.  They also ask you to verify your personal information - WRONG!  Do not give them information at all... if they really are legitimate, they will have that information on file.  Really really shady if you ask me.

They called and keep asking for Pamela and when I told them to stop calling and there is no one by this name. You keep leaving messages and this person doesn't return the call- so stop calling...and then she was RUDE to me... and said it was my responsibility to tell her that no one by that name lives there- when our voice mail says hi- it's so and so leave us a message...they keep saying that there is an important matter we need to settle.

Received yet another call and have A***N reported it to the Do Not Call List. The funny thing is, tonight there was a***n no spoken message but there was some elevator type music being played. Bizarre. I never answer a number I don't recognize on my cell phone or land line. If it is important they will leave a message.

It's a collection agency (CBV) guys. They don't have a do not call list. They stop calling when you pay them, lol.

They have called me twice so far, both times were in the morning around 7-8 and then they leave no message.
