These people call several times a day. They are a debt collector for old debts evidently. The person they are looking is not me. I have told them this and they still call. I recently found out they have an 800 number. It is 800-824-6191 call them constantly and let them know that the person they want is not at your phone number. Keep calling so they can take your number off their list.

My story is nearly identical to Michael P. above, except they've got additional numbers they use to call once you've blocked them.Their robot says they are trying to contact "Claudette Dead," or "Claudette Debt." Honestly, I can't make out the last name, it definitely sounds like "Debt" or "Dead," and it wouldn't surprise me if it were a fake name they use to phish for other people's information.

Received my first call from this number on my mobile last week. Of course, the caller ID said that it was coming from outside of my area code, but I am a real estate agent and pretty much need to answer everything that comes in. Upon answering the call, I get a pre-recorded message asking for me. I am instructed to press "1" if I am the person they are asking for and to press "2" if I were not the person. I reluctantly press the appropriate key and after a brief hold, I was patched to some lady who seemed to have no idea who I was or what they wanted with me. She said that the only way to verify that I had an "account" with them was to provide them with my SSN. ***m no, I am not that crazy). She said that they were a collection agency. I have since programmed the number into my phone and selected "no ring" option. They have called me twice today.

This number calls all the time for someone I can't understand who. We have had this number 25 years and are on the do not call list. I found the way to get them to stop. Their 800# is 800-824-6191. I called it at least 8 times in a row, of course getting a different person, I give them the s***ch about not calling, then tell them I recorded our conversation(of course not), they object and I tell them to sue as they are calling and harrassing a do not call number with no relation with them. They then **** up and I call a***n(800 number no cost to me, but to them) and s**** a***n, when they **** up call right away. They called me one more time so I s****ed a***n. When they answered, the guy knew me and said they would stop. He ***g up sooooooo I called a***n and told them when they call, I call back on their dime. Phone has quit ringing.

I pressed "2" (if you're not this person, press 2) hoping to get some answers, and a woman comes online with "How can I help you?" My reply was I don't know... you called me... what do you want? Her reply was "we're looking for **X. Is he available?" I don't know this person, you *****! I wonder how much money these people get paid to annoy innocent people who become so enraged they become seriously rude. Not answering the phone doesn't work. I believe they looked my her number up online and the 'closest' match was mine. There is one letter off in our names. I called back and explained that this wasn't me and asked how they got my number. They're response was that 'Anitra' was giving it out. I don't believe this. I asked the last four digits of 'Anitra's' soc. and it wasn't mine. She said they would remove the number, but continue to call.

I called the 800 number just now and a polite young man verified my phone number and the name of the person they were trying to reach.
