A company called the, Energy Conservation Group has been harassing my family for several weeks now with Pre-Recorded phone messages from different phone lines. Please help me take action to stop these criminals. If you are getting these calls; please, don’t just sit there and take it. Take action and be heard. No government agencies will act until enough people complain. * Note. Make sure you clearly identify in each complaint that they are contacting you, “illegally using Pre-Recorded messages".1. Today June 11, 2010 at 10:06 AM a caller illegally used a pre-recorded message to redirect me to a person who then solicits me to let a solar contractor to visit my home inside Florida to sell solar panels. My phone number is on the FTC Do Not Call List. I am a 95 year old widow and feel threatened by these unsolicited calls. Even though the phone number is the same, they c****ed their name from “Energy Conservation Group” to “Power Savings****ociation.” I have never done business with these people, have never answered an ad or requested information, and cannot even find out who they are. The call came from inside Florida from phone number 407-334-2871. This same phone number, plus related phone numbers 407-371-1196 and 407-731-2648 have repeatedly ILLEGALLY USED PRE-RECORDED MESSAGES more than thirty times to sell solar panels to me even though I repeatedly ask them to put me on their no call lists. The owner of this phone number has committed seven crimes a***nst me repeatedly more than thirty times. Specific law violations are (1) illegal use of pre-recorded messages, (2) refusal to put me on their company do not call list, (3) calling my number which is on the FTC nation-wide Do Not Call List, (4) Harassment of the elderly: I am a 95 year old widow and they have illegally called me more than thirty times, (5) They refuse to give me their true corporate legal name, (6) They refuse to give me the address from which they are calling, (6)They refuse to identify what phone number they are calling from, (7) refuse to give first and last name of the person making the call.

Wanted to advise that I tracked down one of the numbers used by this group to the telephone service provider that supplies the numbers. They advised they no longer own that number sequence of numbers and that they have been contacted by ***dreds of individuals as well as the FBI, State SBI and other local police agencies looking for the owner of these telephone numbers. I have also been in contact with the State of Florida Frauds office. All have advised they are looking for this group and actually have found two locations where these calls were originating. While the two offices have been shut down, the people behind this SCAM just pick up and move to another location to s**** a***n. They are just as frustrated as we are about this but these guys are pretty slick in avoiding authorities. I have made several appointments to find out who they are and they never show up for the "energy survey".As many of you may have found, they are using cell numbers and in many cases they are what they call "s****ed" where the number displayed is not the number used to call. It can be done, I work for a telephone equipment supplier and there are ways around Caller ID.Good luck to all and keep looking for these people. We need to punish the companies that have hired these people to get work for them. When a few of these AC and Solar Water Heater companies are prosicuted for this stuff, it will slow down.

I have received numerous pre-recorded calls from 727 numbers over the past six weeks from "National Energy Coalition". On the first, I listened long enough to hear that my utility, TECO, wasn't a**** the ones listed so I ***g up. FWIW, I have already installed TECO's energy management system, and everything else is up-to-date, so whatever they're selling I don't need it. On subsequent calls I ***g up as soon as I recognized it as the same message, but today I got annoyed and listened to the whole thing, and eventually got to an operator. I told her to remove my number from their system, but she kept trying to read her script (I guess they get paid by connect minutes). I finally asked her for the business location and phone number of "National Energy Coalition", and she said "we don't have that information available here" (wherever "here" is).Unfortunately, today's call came up on caller ID as "Private Caller" - no phone number, and there's no way at this point that I could identify the numbers from the prior calls. How do I file a complaint without any identifying information?

Same story as "ed" above. National Energy Coalition is only one of their "business" names. It is pure harassment and clearly a sales attempt (which they deny). They call from faked caller ID numbers which all trace back to cell phone numbers registered to "Aerial Communications". The numbers c****e frequently. They ignore all requests to stop calling. They do not use the registered do not call lists. They know your name and address already. The only way they will stop calling you is to schedule an "energy audit" with them --- this is what I was told by 2 of their telemarketers. So ---- I have scheduled an "audit" with them and will get as much information as I can, including their rep's name and license plate number, and then file a police report and an FTC complaint when the guy shows up. He will NOT get into my house.
