I don't bother answering numbers that I don't recognize anyway, but it's still a nuisance to hear my phone ring when I don't want to be bothered. I also need to thank William:I called 703-490-1550 and got someone there who put me on their "do not call list". However, he said it may take 30 days for the calls to stop. Since I get at least 2 calls from them per day, I'm not happy about that, but at least it was SOME response and he seemed nice. I guess I'll have to see if the calls stop.Just so people know, It was Talk Group and they are calling on behalf of Comcast (at least in my case). I am a Comcast cutomer. The Do Not Call Registry, if you are registered, allows any company that you already do business with, or have done business with in the past, to call you even if you are listed on the Do Not Call Registry. It also allows their "affiliate" companies to call!The Do Not Call Registry is not all inclusive. Not For Profit groups are also still allowed to call you (police, fire fighter, ambulance, other charity groups, etc) to ask for a donation, and even companies who do tele-surveys are allowed to continue to call. However, ALL of these organizations MUST put you on their own do not call list if you ask them to.

Called the # given above and was told originally to call back in the morning to talk to "Eric", the person sho keeps track of these things. I asked if "Eric" had an extension and was told no. I asked if "Eric" would answer the main number and then I was told I was breaking up and they couldn't hear me. Eventually the person told me to call Comcast to settle the issue. I immediately called Comcast. Of course their phone menu doesn't have an option to just talk to someone. So after you select "English" just hit the zero key 4 or 5 times to confuse their system and be kicked to a real operator. The person who picked up knew exactly what I wanted. Asked for my address and said he removed me from the list immediately.

Ok,I found the answer on another website: the number 703-330-0318 is for a telemarketing company doing marketing for your local cable provider (in my case, Comcast). Call Pro, which is now Talk Group is a telemarketing firm mainly for comcast but also calls for other companies like Mediacom and Time Warner..I called 703-490-1550 and spoke with a very nice operator who explained this. I asked her to please put me on their do not call list, and she said no problem. It has been a week now, and no calls.
