Scammers posing as debt collectors. They called my 14 year old son cell phone with his name and address that he owed a 1995 Radio Shack debt. He wasn’t even born yet. We thought it was a prank but these are real scammers. I called the number a lady by the name of Elenor answered and she pulled the IRS scam. I was confused as my son mentioned Radio Shack. I ***g up. They haven’t called back yet.

This lady said she’s a debt collector. She asked me to send money via an app Zoom(?) or the DA was to arrest me by noon time at my job. This lady said I owed money to some hospital in Bakersfield called Mercy or Nercy. I’ve never stepped foot in Bakersfield much less left the city of Coalinga. She ***g up when told her I was 17 years old and never been hospitalized for anything. It’s a scam!

FRAUD: She is claiming to be a debt collector and is demanding money wire or the McFarland DA or the sheriff will arrest me. I demanded that she give me more information and she demanded my SS# to verify it was me. She then asked me to wire $768.38 to their bank. I researched the code and it’s for the Mexico City region. I’ve contacted the Shafter Police department about this fraudulent scam.

Requested money for over payment on property taxes in San Antonio, TX. I grew up there with my parents who are in the US Airforce. We’ve lived in an apartment from birth to 18. I’m now at Cal State Bakersfield and I’m getting these dumb calls about owing property taxes. It’s not just this number it’s several others with other scams. It’s frustrating to get bothered and harassed like this.

Lady speaking spanish asked for my social security number. She wants money wired. This person knew my previous home address in Shafter and my new address in Wasco. She even threatened to arrest me and my ex-wife she didn’t know we’ve been divorced for 8 years she even named her by name. We always paid cash for everything. I contacted my exwife about this and she has no financial issues.

Not sure if it s a legitimate law firm. She claimed that I need to report to their offices to pay back over payment of taxes. I contacted my lawyer as we are going through a bankruptcy. He called this number and he can’t get anyone to answer. Be careful too many scams out there!!!

A lady called to say I owed property taxes on my home. The address she gave me was a place I would rent 30 years ago. She demanded $325 immediately or she would let the Sheriff arrest me and confi****e my cars. This is a scammer don’t pay them anything.

Mrs. Villarreal said that I had to make a money wire transfer, like NOW because the Wasco Sheriff’s department was on their way to arrest me. I don’t even live or ever lived in Wasco. I’ve always lived in Arvin. This is a scam.
