This caller claimed to be someone from the office of Public Defender David Bell calling me on behalf of my son (who the caller claimed had been in a bad car accident). Fortunately, my son was here and answered the call. Before the caller could say anything else, my son (who realized immediately that it was a scam) called the scammer out over the phone and ***g up.

This number is****ociated with an individual who calls himself David Bell. He called my elderly in-laws, claiming to be a public defender representing their grandson. He created a story saying there was a car accident and DUI that involved their grandson. He further stated that the judge wanted $15,000 to release him from jail. This was obviously false information and an attempt to scam my in-laws. I called "Mr. Bell" who immediately tried to get off the call before disconnecting. When I called him back, he c****ed his voice and said I called the wrong number before disconnecting a***n.
