I believe these are robo-calls so it ****s up after a certain number of rings, that's why no message on voice mail. It is for a non-profit and they are desperate with the current financial situation (aren't we all). Just ask them to put you on do-not-call list and it's done.

The do not call registry doesn't prevent charitable solicitations. my experience is that i am often speaking with a relative, friend, etc, and their phone will ring and they will answer it. Everyone has voice mail, and its rude to interupt a converstaion, but we all seem to be trained to jump when the phone rings. so whats the big deal if its some charity asking for help?

I get these calls too, I think it from a collection company that buys old accounts, I don't owe them money, but they continue to harass me about a debt that I settle with almost 10 years ago!!!!!!
