Very elaborate scam call saying that our AEP account was delinquent due to internal issues with autopay. The call was transferred multiple times with hold music included. They said the needed verification of transaction numbers for the past 3 months - after which they tried to direct me to Zelle to enter a code. At this point I realized it was a scam.

Another guy for whom English was not his first language. Gave me the good customer stuff and offered the 30% like they did for the person who reported on Sept 15. My guy sounded more Asian though.

Claimed to be calling about my power bill. When pushed back back (“no you’re not calling from/for AEP”) continued to claim to be. I don’t have AEP/it’s not available in my locale.

This number 614-716-1000 showed up on caller ID it's a ghost number for AEP saying they are going to shut off our electric for none payment this is a SCAM big time don't fall for it AEP will never call and threaten to shut off your electric in 30 minutes and never give your social security number.

Monday, September 15, 2019 at 529pm EST--some guy who couldn't even speak English well (sounded like he was calling from India!) caller said since we pay our bills on time we can get a 30% our bill! We have had AEP forever and they definitely DO NOT USE ****** CALLERS! DEFINITELY SCAM!!
