Salt River Project is warning customers of a telephone scam in which someone is using an invalid SRP phone number while seeking credit card or banking information. According to SRP customer services manager Michael Lowe, the impostors appear to be calling from (602) 236-7290 that can appear on caller ID as “Salt River Project” and may be attempting to use any information they collect for illegal purchases. Attempting to call this number back results in a message that the number is not in service. “SRP customer service representatives do not call our customers and ask for credit card numbers,” Lowe said. To avoid falling prey to such scams, never give your credit card or debit card number, or any other personal information, to a caller or visitor without confirming their iden***y, and contact local police if you feel you have received a fraudulent call.

I have received numerous calls at my business. A quick Google search says that "Salt River Project" is a utilities company in Arizona, but the phone number does not show up anywhere on their website. When I tried to call the number on the caller ID back, it says that the number is disconnected. When I do answer there is ***ody on the other end, and the call get's disconnected.

They say they're from "Success [So****ing] Group" and offer the opportunity to make money from home. They keep calling, though I've asked nicely and not so nicely to be removed from their list.
