I received a call from this number about 1/2 hour ago. (12/31/11) My caller ID said V12311538030066 and listed 567-248-4400 as the number calling. I did not answer the phone, but instead s****ed resear****g the number online. I have found several different websites on which people discuss and complain about this number. A woman named Rachel asks if you would like the opportunity to lower your credit card interest rates. Several people reported that they told the caller that they did not have a credit card and/or asked to have their number taken off the company's call list, only to be called names and sworn at. I just posted a message regarding this on facebook. I just want to spread this information as far as possible so that others won't fall for it.

The number needs to be removed from the call list, I said. She put me on hold and then disconnected the call. When I called back using the number on my Caller ID, it was busy all the time.

When I immediately tell the (foreign-born) guy that I want to be added to their do not call list, I'm put on hold. They check in to ask me to continue to hold and then the call disconnects later. Second time they've done this. I reported it on the FTC's web site.
