Scam caller claimed to be from the US customs and border protection agency claiming that they intercepted a package sent for me from Mexico. They even knew my name and address. When I asked “how do I know this isn’t a scam?” (Knowing full well it’s a scam) he said he could give me his name and badge number. I ***g up immediately after that.

Same as above. Claimed multiple packages and transactions going through El Paso. Gave a fake claim number, even called back s****ing the El Paso CBP number on caller id. Knew old addresses etc. Pretty convincing.

Got a call from them and the lady said I have a package arriving from Mexico. I told her I don’t expect and have no relatives or acquaintances in Mexico and the call disconnected

Someone from this number impersonated someone from the Customs and Border Protection agency. He said a package had been stopped at the US/Mexico border with traces of drugs on it and $45K in cash. He said I was the target of the investigation. I pushed back on everything he said but it was scary for sure. The employee at CBP was real, too. I called and emailed him. I reported it to local police too.
