Google search comes up with many people adding comments on 809notes.com for this. Most informative said: "Same call as Heather. A male caller asking us for a donation for a fund to****ist fallen officers' spouses and kids. Told him sorry, couldn't afford it at this time. He continued on to say there were two kits he could send me. Seemed high pressure to me. When I asked him to repeat his name and the name of the organization the call got disconnected. Think this is a scam. I've received this type of call before. Actually it sounded like the same person. He had a deep voice and spoke authoritatively. Next time I'm going to ask for his name, the name of the organization and write it down. I will inform him that I do not make donations over the phone and I will be contacting the local law enforcement to verify the organization is legit. Still won't be able to donate but at least I'll know they're legit."
