received a text message purportedly from our company's CEO. Wanting to know if I could get Apple gift cards at any nearby stores to give out to some of our staff.

That the caller was hearing impaired and could only text. Was in regards to a rental property online

The person using this number claims they are hearing impaired and cant talk, they use a text to phone. There texts have several red flags that I did not see right away. Such as "waiting on your swift reply" in EVERY text

I believe this number is a scammer who scammed me out of $700 for a deposit on a rental property that is actually up for sale and the owner of this number is NOT the owner of the house.
