I wanted to let people know that if you have an iphone that is "jailbroken" you can download an application called iblacklist. This is the best $8 or $9 bucks I ever spent. My cell number is my only number and I have and I have been getting these F***** scam artists calls for at least 18 months. However with iblacklist you can block specific numbers as well as entire area codes! You have options to send it to VM or just give a busy signal and **** up. Since I have downloaded it a couple weeks ago it has worked great! There are a number of other options on iblacklist so check it out. I have not seen anything like it with regular itunes applications so your iphone will have to jailbreak your iphone but that is a fairly easy process and can be reversed later if needed. Another option I was using before was Youmail. This is a great service that allows you to route your calls to caller specific recordings. This service is also free and can be used with any cell phone. So it might be an option for other cell phone users. However the problem with Youmail is you can't block an entire aread code so these scammers just keep c****ing a few digits and the misery continues. Also with Youmail the phone actually still rings. With iblacklist the calls do not even come through but if you want you can set up an icon to alert you when a call has been blocke

I also receive these calls at least 3 times a week. this one was from 506-229-87833. I am registered on th Do Not Call List.I also pressed 1 to talk to a person so I could find out information from them to report to the Do Not Call List. She wanted the phone number on the back of my credit card,my name that appears on it,my credit card number, and the 3 digit code on the back of my card.I did not give her any of the above. I told her she's crazy and do not call me a***n and that i report every call from them to the do not call list complaint dept. and that they can be fined 10.000 dollars for each call I receive. She then ***g up on me. I have reported at least 50 or more times to the do not call list.I wonder if they are doing so****ing to help these calls STOP! Everytime I see on my caller ID these numbers on my phone I am immediately ****ed off. When you push option 2 the recording says you will not be called a***n. Well I have done that several times and still the calls keep coming. This is Fraud! With this economy I am sure that people have given them their information. And we are all paying for it through our credit card interest rates. These people need to be stopped.

Got a call from 506-229-00410. After recorded message, said press 1 to lower your credit card interest rate. I felt like having some fun, so I pressed 1. A female answered and asked my name. I said "You called me. You don't know who you called?". She replied that they were just trying to verify information and offered to lower my credit card interest rate. I said which card and she said any visa or mastercard I had. I then offered to give her my debit card number and PIN number. She ***g up on me. HA!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone. Also, how did they get my cell number? They wanted to lower the interest on my credit card. I said what are the last 4 digits of the card you are calling about. He said, "I am not allowed by law to give out that information." I said firmly "You cannot give me the last 4 digits of the credit card account you are calling me about?" He said (I don't know if I can say this on the internet, but) "*******;" then he ***g-up.

5-062-298-9792 comes up on my caller ID often. When I try to call back to ask them to stop calling it states that the number is incorrect. It sounds as though they are hiding so****ing. I also would like to know how to block this nonsense from my CELL phone. I feel sorry for people who get caught up in their scheme.. which it appears to be. They call constantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there no peace in this world from these vultures.

Blocking numbers won't work genius that spent $8 or $9. The number you see is NOT their number. Sure you blocked a number. But you didn't stop these thieves from calling. I know for a fact you didn't. There is no way any of you will ever find these schmucks. It's a lose lose for AmericansAll you can do is protect the elders in your families. You will not stop getting them either.

Telemarketers preying on people is disgusting. But guess what? YOUR FCC doesn't care. The National Do Not Call program is a joke, and these theives know it. YOUR Government endorse these scams by not wanting to acknowledge there's a problem. F the FCC and their do not call problem list. And if the calls are coming from Ca***a then F' Ca***ians too.

I got a call just like the one sunset above did. Only She (the female on the line) was asking to lower the interest rate on my master card (I do not have a master card) The she said she could do the same for my visa card. I asked which one and she would not say which one and s****ed to ask about my identification. I told her that if she could not give me a name and a number to call of what bank she was with that I could not do business with her. After that statement, she said that she could not call back and that she did not have a number to reach her at. People, I am not ****** and I am very aware of all the scams that are out there. These along with most all the numbers that have a 506 area code along with an extra digit are a complete scam!
