So****ing to keep in mind about all these continuing bothersome calls for surveys, so called charities and so called charity pickups despite asking them to remove you from their list: Call centers have sprung up in my town that make use of the survey and the charity loophole around the do not call list; they have been a headache for law enforcement, emergency services, neighboring businesses and residential areas. When I ask any patrolling officer in town about these call centers, they are quick to state their frustrations about the criminal activity that some of these call centers have brought into the area. Several law enforcement agencies regularly visit some of these call centers looking for warrant arrests etc. I have heard from sources including from frustrated employees that work for these call centers complaining about the drug activity, vandalism of cars and neighboring businesses, break-ins and theft, drinking while on the job, smoke breaks are actually marijuana breaks, ***** driving, very dangerous driving, tons of tossed out litter of empty liquor containers, trash, food etc. I’ve even heard that the mangers are also involved in criminal activities and have even preyed on their legitimate employees who are simply trying to eek out a living on horrible wages. Also the operators are untrained in a very high turn around, poorly managed and dysfunctional work environment. Also realize this when you call a companies’ customer service line and get horrible service from the call center that’s been hired by the company. One time while on a call with our bank’s customer service, the operator was so loopy that it required ending the call and calling a***n to try and get someone else to help, think about that when you call a companies’ customer service and the conversation gets odd, off the wall and obtuse – you may be talking to an operator that’s ***** or on so****ing. After 6 months of getting a different and wrong answer to our ongoing problem each time we called our bank’s call center, we gave up and closed the account. With so little police left in our town due to cutbacks, they can’t always respond to vandalism and break-ins when it’s witnessed as they have their plate full responding to the major emergencies, this allows the criminal activity free reign, the neighborhood becomes the hood. Some insurance companies require proof of private security patrols before they will honor a claim due to vandalism or theft leaving the neighboring businesses off guard and uncovered. These businesses also have the added cost to hire private security, install security systems/monitoring, upgrade lighting etc. Then there are the dangers and headaches to the nearby businesses employees such as their cars being vandalized or broken into. Some businesses simply give in, pickup and move out of town. One of my neighbors owns a call center and he requires that his operators are bonded, but I guess there’s no laws requiring this – there should be. Right now in my town it seems like anybody can s**** up a call center and hire questionable labor for cheap without much regulation. I my efforts the past several years to try and get so****ing done, I am most struck by the fact that there’s no real help, everyone is more worried about being sued than dealing with the obvious problem - you are on your own....

JACKSON, Mississippi - Not only are those telemarketing robocalls from "card services" annoying, they're also illegal, especially if you've signed up for a federal or state "do not call" list. Mississippi utility regulators Tuesday fined a California telemarketer $945,000, in an effort to get such calls to stop. It's the largest fine that the Mississippi Public Service Commission has ever issued a***nst a telemarketer. The order was issued a***nst Roy M. *** Jr. of Santa Ana, Calif., and five companies he controls. The commission said *** broke Mississippi's law a***nst unwanted telephone solicitations 189 times in the last four years. Northern District Commissioner ***ndon Presley said in February that *** was operating "possibly the largest telemarketing scam to hit Mississippi since the auto warranty scam a few years ago." *** and****ociated companies also face a civil suit filed by the Federal Trade Commission last year in California. A lawyer representing *** in the federal case did not immediately respond to phone and email messages Tuesday. The Mississippi fine was****essed after *** failed to respond to legal papers served on him by the state. Mississippi****essed the ****mum fine of $5,000 for each legal violation that it do***ented. "Go find that check," Southern District Commissioner Leonard Bentz said after the commission voted. Under state and federal law, people who don't want to get telephone solicitations sign up for a "do not call" list. Telephone solicitors are supposed to acquire that list and not call those people, with certain exemptions. The state says *** and his companies failed to register before s****ing business in Mississippi, didn't buy a copy of the state's "do not call list," were placing illegal robocalls, and were calling outside the time window allowed under state law. The companies were also illegally hiding their names on caller ID, instead listing themselves as "card services," ''credit services," or "private office," according to the federal case. The state complaint says *** operates through a web of companies, including California-based Castle Rock Capital Management as well as Castle Rock Management SA and Capital Solutions Group SA, both of Panama, as well as Transfers Argentina SA of Argentina and Marketing Strategy Group of ***gary. The federal complaint also says that *** worked through a Seychelles company called Public Service. It isn't named in the Mississippi order. Federal authorities said ***'s companies sell credit card interest rate reduction programs, extended automobile warranties and home security systems. The federal suit was filed by the FTC in partnership with the Justice Department, which could allow the government to seek civil penalties of $16,000 per violation if it wins. In response to the federal lawsuit, a lawyer for *** denied that he was a telemarketer, had brok en the law, or controlled the foreign companies. *** can appeal the Mississippi fine to Hinds County Chancery Court. Jeff Jernigan, a staff attorney for the Mississippi Public Service Commission, said the state could try to collect the judgment by filing liens on houses *** owns in California and Tennessee. The commission is still working on collecting its previous largest fine, the $490,000 that it fined Joel Katz of Baltimore last fall. Katz was convicted in federal court in 2002 for defrauding 16,000 people out of more than $1.6 million. Mississippi officials said he went back to his old ways while still on probation. Bentz said the commission "would love to have some more authority from the Legislature to collect these fines." He also said he'd like to see a law allowing jail terms for unauthorized telemarketers.

If you are getting calls from any of these numbers they are most likely from someone****ociated with ADT Home Security Solutions. These are of course bogus numbers that you can't call back. I received dozens of calls on my home phone and cell phone(s) before going along with it and telling them I was interested. I was transferred to another person who gave me his number which is unlisted: 615-510-3152. YOU WILL GET A LIVE PERSON IF YOU CALL THIS NUMBER. These are the people responsible for these calls so call them and give them a piece of your mind! I went so far as to schedule an installation of a system and had a young kid in a ratty old car show up at my house to install my system. I took his paperwork from him and refused to give it back, I told him that I had been harassed with multiple phone calls despite being (all phones) on the do not call list, that the legally required caller ID information displayed was faked and did not have the name of the business, and that I intended to file complaints with the State Attorneys General of Florida, Tennessee, and Oregon as well as the FCC, FTC, and local authorities. By the way the paperwork contained this information: ADT Security Solutions, Inc. 14200 E. Exposition Avenue Aurora, CO 80012-2512 800-539-9690

The following phone number have been calling me for the last 6 months on a daily basis up to 12 times a day. I have put my numbers on the “No Call Lists” for both the National and State listings. I have done this 3 times but these are the only ones left that do not abide by the rules. All others have quit. Now it’s time to get you involved. They are giving your city and State a bad name. Telemarketers are s****ing to take over your area codes because no one in your area is forcing them to follow the rules. Your State and Cities are turning a blind eye to this and someone like you needs to step up and be responsible and show them someone isn’t going to allow them to let them hide any longer. I am posting this on the “Guru Search” for reverse phone numbers. If you go there you will find that your area codes are out of control and this is only one site that reports this. Just think of all the others out there that people have gone to and this is your town. Please help stop these calls. It is a cost on all of us not only by running down our cell phone charges but our patience.

Same old, same old. Robo spammer calls. They just keep calling even though these calls are now illegal on their face. Do NOT answer unknown calls and definitely do NOT return these calls. They are merely thinly disguised attempts to gather as much information about you and your smart phone. Do NOT give them any chance of access to the data on your. In addition to installing an app that blocks most of these noxious calls, try turning off internet access at night so these thieves have one less opportunity to ***n entrance to your phone. Protect yourself. Also report any and all phone calls like this to the FTC, even if you are not on the Do Not Call Registry. Believe it or not, they are s****ing to work on preventing calls like this from even rea****g your phone.

Another scam call from Rachel at Credit Card Services. The DO NOT CALL LIST is a total waste of tax payer money since it apparently doesn't work. The list does, however, give scammers a list of people to call. What a joke. As directed, I pressed "one" to talk with a live rep just to see what she would tell me. She wanted lots of personal details that I would not give her. So she ***g up. I called the number and got a recorded message that said "tell us your phone number and we will take you off our call list." I said nothing and got a second message that said "your number has been deleted from our call list." Really? I doubt it.

SPAM!! SPAM!! SPAM!! Call went directly to voice mail where automated message left was about lowering my interest rates on some non-existent credit care. Do NOT answer calls from unknown numbers and definitely do NOT return these calls. They are merely thinly disguised attempts to obtain information about you and your smart phone. And all calls of this type are now illegal. Report each and every call like this to the FTC. The problem with tracing and stopping calls like this is that the callers/thieves can c****e the number on the caller ID simply by using an app or a s**** card. So portect yourself and ignore any and all calls like this. Also consider installing an app that will block calls like this.

Got a call this morning from 503-902-8112. I never answer calls from unkown phone numbers. I let it go to voice mail. I then call them back from my google voice phone number on my smart phone, which allows me to stay pretty much anonymous, (I never give this number out). If I get a call on my google voice number, I'll know its B.S. so I don't answer it. I then add them to my phone contacts and have my smart phone direct that call right to voice mail. I never evningr hear the phone ring. They should not be allowed to call cell phones because we pay forboth out going and incoming calls. Why should I have to use up my minutes to hear a F*CKING telemarketing call!!!????
