Got a call from this number also. I missed the call (thankfully) and do not have my vm activated to receive worthless messages. Why do they keep calling? If it is Wells Fargo, I know it is not for me, don't bank with them. Signing up with the DNC (Nat. Do Not Call) does not work. They ignore it and pester you anyway. There is nothing one can do about these troublemakers. No one will do a thing if it don't happen to them personally if they have the ability to do so. So why bother with the DNC?

I've had several calls from this 503.403.2691 number -At first I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer but then decided to see who keeps annoying me w/out leaving messages - It turns out they were looking for a Jennifer but when I told them I wasn't that person they s****ed to drill me - Because of the nature of the call I was not going to give them any of my personal information to prove otherwise so at that point I told them it they don't stop calling this number I'm going to report them - Upon doing some research on the computer I found out I can file a complaint with the FCC but for safe measure and my sanity I put that number on a block via my carrier Verizon -

Calls several times daily. Caller ID says Oregon, No-one answers. Wells Fargo says if it is them, it will always say "Wells Fargo" on the caller ID, and that it has to be a scam. I reported this number to the FTC(Federal Trade Commission), we'll see what happens. I recommend that you give them NO information if they do connect.

Between 2 and 10 calls per day for the past month. Caller ID as Wells Fargo....they identify as Wells Fargo Overdraft Prevention. They ask for Jake, Dan, Judy, Will, Jason, Kara, etc...each time a different name. When told they have the wrong number, they ask "who is this?" For a while, I'd just **** up at that point. Then I s****ed giving them a false name...George. They would then ask for my date of birth, social security number and my Wells Fargo account number..."to confirm that I am who I say I am". I have never had a Wells Fargo account and at that point, I'd invite them to pound sand. Finally got to Wells Fargo's security department and they became VERY interested. It seems that this is a contract bill collector and they have no reason or right to ask for DOB, SSN, or account numbers. WF Security's worry was that there are employees of the contractor who are phishing on their own for such iden***y info. They promised to get back with their findings...still waiting...... I reminded WF that, now that I had notified them of the situation, any further harassment or fraud using the WF name from this number would be their liability...they said they understood that concept. Yes, I did record the calls...from the s***bags and to Wells Fargo.

But, i was su****ious enough to do a reverse phone call on-line. after reading all the comments from other people who were being called, I went ahead and called Wells Fargo. I spoke with an executive from their subsidiary Wachovia, who checked out the phone number. As it turns out, it is a Wells Fargo collection dept. that focuses on overdrafts. It seems like there is so****ing fishy going on since most of the comments came from people who don't even have Wells Fargo bank accounts. Unfortunately my daughter does. We called Wells Fargo through the phone number listed on our bank account and verifed that this phone number is, in fact, Wells Fargo Collection. Although annoying, if you are overdrawn on your account, this is why you may be receiving calls from this number. If you don't have an account with Wells Fargo, perhaps calling them at their regular Customer Service number,
