The national pandemic of telephone terrorism perpetrated by desperate criminal collection agencies is because they are trying to terrorize people who are naive enough to answer and submit to unsolicited telephone calls or written "collection" letters that have no legitimate legal debt****ociated with them or any of the companies, universities, or whomever else they claim to represent. Because most "little guys" were bankrupted by the criminal Wall St/Congress/Big Oil/Big Bankers/Big Business/Military/Robber Barons, so the desperate collection agencies are attempting to collect unpaid debts from innocent people by terrorizing them into submission.Word of advice. NEVER answer any calls you don't recognize or are not expecting. Use selective call rejection service if available, or switch to an Internet-based telephone service which provides comprehensive call rejection options. If rogue calls become chronic, turn off all the ringers on all of your phones except one, and set its volume to the minimum setting. If you don't answer the call and the caller is legitimate, they will usually leave a voicemail after the first or second try. Rogue callers never leave voicemail messages because that could be used as evidence a***nst them if it came to a lawsuit. If you receive a rogue letter in the mail warning you of some "collection" action a***nst you, if you don't actually owe it, reply with a short letter stating that you don't owe it. Or if you do owe all or part of it, reply with so****ing like "You claim I owe you a debt. Under §809 FDCPA, I request validation of this debt."Only give them your name as THEY have written it to you (e.g. “John Doe” not “Jonathon Q. Doe” or however you normally sign your own name), address, and the account number they report. But if you do not owe the debt (zombie debt, aged debt, mistaken or stolen iden***y, forgery, etc.) state that you have never done any business with them or with the (alleged) original creditor of any kind and you expect the collection agency to close the matter, stop harassing you and take any bad credit marks they've caused off of your credit rating, and furthermore, that any further contact from them must be in writing on their official business correspondence letterhead. Send your letter to them a.s.a.p., always within thirty days, first class certified mail return receipt requested. If they refuse it and you get the letter back unopened, leave it unopened and save it in your files as evidence a***nst them should they pursue legal action a***nst you. If they did receive it and continue to pursue action a***nst you, let them. The judge will throw it out of court. If the rogue collection agency sells your account to another rogue collection agency just tell them the claim has been proven invalid and offer to send them a copy of your letter to the previous rogue collection agency. Warn all your friends about this rash of desperate collection agency terrorism, and how to combat it. Knowledge is power. The more you learn how to combat rogue collection agencies, back-taxes scammers, and other flimflammers, the more you will learn how easy it is to do.Above all, keep a record of everything, of every rogue call w/ caller ID information displayed including time and day of each call. I work for a state farm office and one of our customers recieved a call from this number with the person stating that "their state farm auto insurance has gone down, they just need some information" He thought that was great news, but a little strange so he called our office directly. As much as I would have like to tell him that his rates had gone down, the call did NOT originate from any State Farm employee.  He called the number back and requested to be removed from their database which they agreed to. Its scary that people use legit businesses to gather information from unsuspecting people.  If you get a call and they say they are from your insurance company but caller ID doesnt identify them properly, **** up and call your agent back to check its validity.

My mom and I kept getting this phone call (503-383-1105, Salem, OR) for 3 years. It was my neighbors(82 years old mother and her over 60 years old son) that was calling us all the time. I heard it from someone in the past, that anyone can dial any phone numbers on their cell phones and I don't know how they do that. Only evil people know how to do it. Whenever my mom and I get home from the store, they called us immediately at this phone number and **** up on us all the time. That is how we know it was them. They will never c****e and they will continue harrassing us all the time.

Just received a call from this # 503-383-1105 at 10:59 am Central time on March 5, 2010. I did not answer. Tried all my reverse searchs. Just came up as a land line/unpublished in Salem, OR., Marion County. La***ude 44.95 Longitude -123.05. I have a pay per minute cell phone. It is unusual that I get these kind of calls.

I received a buzz message from a ****** at that company and I stopped it and buzzed it back before the operator message ("If you need help, please dial the operator" message) could be recorded on my answering ma****e.

Get a call often from them. Twice today. Picked up both times. Only says Salem OR on the Caller ID. The first time they ***g up. The second time it was just silence.

Got a call but no voice mail. Just applied for a job recently in Lebanon, OR and though it might be someone from the school district but had missed the call.

These people call all hours of the day and half the night... on the weekends its even worse. ***ody ever responds, its usually silence or an annoying ad for insurance.
