Received call from (202) 480-5620 Cellco D.C. on 10/8/11 and it appears to be affiliated with another call I received on 10/24 from (503)-302-7137 Cellco Oregon. Neither call was answered and have since read several online comments about both being tied to a cruise scam. Oddly enough, the first call came a few days after I parti****ted in, and apprehensively entered my cell number, an online survey regarding a local fast food visit; but could be coincidence.

I was called at 4:57 pm on October 25th 2011. Fortunately I was on the bus and didn't hear it ringing, for I would have picked up thinking it was my boss from work. Uhg. I am a Verizon customer as well. I did try to call back twice, a***n, like previous reports there was the obnoxious honking/beeping noise. Apparently it's for a cruise? I don't know. I'll re-post later if I get another call back from this number.

rec'd voice message from 513-302-7137 stating they are hsbc bank and my account is frozen, hit option #1 to unfreeze my account, hit #1 only to get another message stating same thing. ***g up. called HSBC bank who cancelled my account and giving me another account. HSBC is taking this very seriously!! Hope they put these people in jail!!

That supposedly is a way that they can prove your affirmation to the services that they are offering. I'm not sure if that's true, but it's not worth the risk, right?

We have relatives near the area where this call was made, and it caused a lot of distress for our family to wonder who was trying to call and that we were not able to return the call to find out who was calling. It should be illegal to make unsolicited calls.
