This is more than spam. This is an attempt at iden***y theaft and you should report it to the authorities. How they are doing this is by using stolen sim cards from peoples cell phones. The sim card is placed into an auto dialer so it is more difficult to directly trace the source of the call. Once a person selects to "Speak to a representative" then the call is transfered to one of the scammers. There they will try to obtain your credit card & personal information from you. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!! If you have given ant information I strongly urge you to contact the credit card companies and explain to them that you have been scammed so they can help run damage control. These people say they are from "Member Card Services" which is an actual company, a subsidiary of Chase Bank. If you call Chase you will find that this is not their practice and will help to report the attempted fraud. If you wish to end these annoying calls, keep a log of the different phone numbers being used, & report them to either Chase Bank, or to your local authorities.
