I don't ever bother to answer calls from numbers which are not known to me or which do not display a caller ID. These calls are merely thinly disguised attempts to obtain as much information as possible aboaut you and your smart phone. I will continue to notify the FTC about these calls, but they unwilling or unable to do anything about them. Our best defense about the hazards of these calls is just not to answer them under any cir***stances. If you think the call might be legitimate, you can always research the number on the Internet and then decide whether you wish to respond or not, as is appropriate.

Please read my comments from 2 months ago. Nothing has c****ed. Do NOT answer calls like this and certainly do NOT call the number back. And continue to let the FTC know about eggregious calls like this. Believe it or not, they are beginning to try and put a stop to these worthless, annoying,****entially dangerous calls.
