No way is this call legit. I have a godaddy account, and all services were paid recently. So I know nothing is due. If you get a call from this number, tell them no thanks that you will handle any issues with your account online.

These are lying scammers! They called to ask me about renewing my GoDaddy hosting account. I don't have an account with GoDaddy so there is nothing to renew. I tried to trap the lying **** so I didn't tell him that I don't have a GoDaddy account. Instead, I asked him to remind me which one of my domains he was refering to. He told me that he "is not in my account" so he doesn't know. Then he asked me for my 4 digit PIN so he can get into my account to see. What lousy s***.

For me, the call from 480-366-3333 was completely legit. I had already been notified via automated email the day before that my CC was declined for the renewal of some hosting I have there (I'm at my limit on the card, and had already been declined at the grocery store). So I was well aware that I had a failed payment on the books at GoDaddy. I never bothered to return the call, because I went online and successfully made the payment using another card.

Just a followup note. I decided to call GoDaddy at the phone number listed on the GoDaddy page just to double check everything. I also had email addresses i was paying for but not using so i hadn't renewed those. I talked to someone named Dan at the 480-505-8877 number. He told me about the email addresses and when he noticed they hadn't even been used, he deleted them for me to keep me from getting more notices. He also confirmed the domain name was correct and up to date. While the number that called me might have been legit, i feel better that i called the number right on the GoDaddy page and knew i was speaking to someone WITH GoDaddy and made sure the issues were corrected.

Glad I didn't answer. I almost did. I just renewed my domain name at the last second and had c****ed cards for billing (also checked the "do not automatically renew" box) ... I know everything should be current and up to date, but the call that came in is local for me... scottsdale or mesa area... i decided to run the number through the search engine before answering and got this page. When i listened to the voice message, i could not understand a word that was being said... it was like talking to the clown head at a fast food drive thru. It sounds like a good thing i did not answer. Thanks for the feedback here!

This is legit. I got this call today about my GoDady domain. I had renewed my domain but not my hosting package due an expired CC. They called my cell phone as well as my office number back-to-back when I didn't answer the first. It came up on my work phone as ACCOUNT SVCS.I authorized a payment to renew my account and then I called my CC company after reading this board. They****ured me the charge was there and posted to GODADDY.COM for the amount I authorized. It also included a call back number of 480-505-8855 read to me by my CC company. I logged into GODADDY.COM just now and see the charge posted to my account and my hosting has been renewed. I never gave my entire card number. They had it on file from my name registration renewal.

I sell web hosting and one of my clients called me today and said that godaddy.com left him a message that his hosting account was pass due. He was instructed to call 480-366-3333. When he called the number they told him that they would shut his service down if he didn't pay them.Next they wanted his password to verify the account. He was lucky that he didn't know his account information to give them. He called me and I told him not to talk to them anymore and that I believe they are trying to scam him.We will get together tomorrow and contact Godaddy support and see what we can find out.

On 3/14/09 I had a missed call from 480-366-3333 since I don't answer numbers I'm not familiar with. A message was left from 'Greg' with Godaddy, he knew my first name but it says it on my voicemail and website. He said he was calling from the billing department and there was a few things he wanted to go over with me...that there was a failed billing attempt on hosting and domain (he didn't way when there was a failed billing attempt). Honestly I thought there could because that's the part my business partner usually handles and we're not working together anymore so I really didn't know for sure...I'm so glad I checked the number out and found this site!!! Totally sounds like a scam!!!

I Received a call from 480-366-3333 today (10-13-2008)the guy said he was from GoDaddy.com and that there was a problem with my account, he didn't even know who he should speak to. I asked if this could be resolved online and he stated it would be best to handle it over the phone because "people always have problems with getting these things corrected online" so I agreed to have the person in charge of the account return his call at 480-366-3333 and ***g up. Fortunately, I did a search and found this.... "His call will NOT be returned!!"

I received a call from this number on 8/28/08 requesting a ****** appointment and wanted to know if I could accomodate them. This was a recording not a real person and the message looped. I had godaddy accounts that I let expire and have received calls about emails and other stuff. I have told them that the accounts were no longer needed.

I recieved a call from this number and a man asked for Tonya (which is not my name) or me and he stated my name(incorrectly). He said that Tonya attempted to purchase so****ing from his online business with my MC ending with 19. He asked me if I authorized the purchase. I said no, and I told him I don't even have a MC ending with 19. He said he would take the charge off. I asked him for more info like the last 4 numbers of the card but he said he could not give me that information. I looked at my credit report online just to make sure somebody did not open an account in my name and it didn't show anything. It was just very strange.

This number is from VERY SNEAKY SCAMMERS and is****ociated with competing domain registrars. All the entries here that say it is legitimate are most likely written by the same scammers. Don't believe them! Here are the exact words of the voicemail I got from this number: "Hello, this is Larry. I'm calling from GoDaddy because we have a problem with the billing for your account. If you would like for your services with us to remain active, please call. The number is 480-366-3333. Thanks."Since I am a customer of GoDaddy, I called the real billing account number (480-505-8855, which is listed plainly on GoDaddy.com) several times. Each time, the representative said there was NO PROBLEM with my billing or any of my services, and they didn't recognize the 480-366-3333 number. Nothing was up for renewal. We actually just ordered another service the day before, and I could see that payment was properly processed and cleared from our bank the next day.
(480) 366-3333 - July 9th, 2008 4:00am
That's funny when they called me they kept calling themselves "Billing Services" and said they were a service that worked with 'all major registrars - too many to list'. They couldn't tell me what domain names came up for renewal, and refused to send me any type of email do***enting the names that came up for renewal.
(480) 366-3333 - July 9th, 2008 4:00am
This sounds like a scammer to me. Presented themselves as GoDaddy but did not have accurate information from our account. These guys are red-flagged around here. Avoid them.

Received a call on 6/30/2008 from this number. They identified themselves as Dynonames. They said someone had purchased a web site domain with a credit card that was supposedly mine. They gave me the last 2 digits of a Visa credit card number and said they used some middle eastern name. I don't have a Visa card ending with the 2 digits they stated.Very strange.

(480) 366-3333 - May 20th, 2008 4:00am
This place called me and left a message. I returned the call and they said they didn't know why they called me and that my CC must have been declined. They didn't know from who or which of my 6 CC it was. They then proceeded to ask me for my CC number and my pin number. What an idiot. What a poor scam.I purchase all my domain names from Wild West Domains. Aproximatly 35 of them. All are paid and none are due. I am surprised that a company like GoDaddy hasn't let people know about this scam.
(480) 366-3333 - February 18th, 2008 5:00am
yep. it's from godaddy.

I received a call asking for and account renewal for my GoDaddy account. I have a GoDaddy account, but it doesn't expire for another year. This is probably an effort to lock me in for an even longer time. Annoying.
