This guy is an uber scam artist. He orders an Uber as a rider, Then when you get to the destination, he immediately calls you through the uber 415 number and pretends to be an Uber fraud investigator stating that your account has been compromised and someone is trying to remove money from your account. He says,. pull over immediately, cancel your current trip and answer these questions to prove you are the right person that should be in the car and the actual driver--not an impostor etc. He then in real time creates the crime himself,m that he is reporting to you has already happened. hew ***ns your email,, password, and then as Uber is sending you the verify passwords etc. that they send, he states he is sending them to you and needs you to verify what the codes are so you can continue driving and they can lock your account out. In reality, he uses the information to load his debit card to your insta-pay account and steal all your Uber driver earnings. I thought intially he WAS from Uber and just a rude, demanding employee. But a few hours later, I realized that only Uber can call you through that Uber phone number OR the current rider you are picking up. So, as soon as I showed up at the rider location and had accepted them a s a rider, they were given access via Uber to contact me and they then perpetrated the crime. This person stole approx. $ 700.00 from me and Uber, because they outsource all their customer service has ndone nothing. I wrote and called all night long after this happened on Feb. 17, 2018 and Uber also allowed this. Uber sent a message to me at the same time, stating a su****ious bank card edit took place and to c****e my password etc. However, this guy locked me out of the account, c****ed my phone number to his so as to lock me out of the account and additionally, strangely Uber did NOT block this person form stealing all of my week's earnings. Luckily for me, I made the guy call me on his real phone--and I began to record him and that is how I have this phone number. The text to this person, was at this phone number. And the fake Uber employee call was made from this person. Man has a foreign--possibly Nigerian/french accent.
