A woman with this company - "Shirley" - was calling my number and leaving messages for my teenage son. I****umed it was a parent of a friend or so****ing to do with school so I passed the message on to him. It turned out it was a collection agency for a doctor we haven't seen in years. He gave the phone to me and I let her know that she was calling for a minor and that any calls needed to be to either myself or my husband. I told her we hadn't been to the doctor's office she was calling about in years, and that we did not have a balance when we left (we have insurance that would have paid most if not all of any charges past our co-pay), and that I would be happy to discuss the issue if she would send me an itemized statement of the debt. Didn't hear anything else for three months (wonder why!), until they called a***n today. Smells of scam.

I do not answer these calls I am tired of being harassed. With the job loss of myself and my husband we pay bills as we can afford to do so. We have to provide power, water, heat and food on the table for our child first. Thank you.
