calls appx. 8-9X/day - one time I answered when first receiving, nothing but what sounded like a background noise that would eventually lead to a telemarketer picking up line. No answer after my saying*****o 3X, si I ***g up. Cell is primary phone, just moved half way across country, was in severe accident, barely no anybody in town, typically bedridden when not able to go to work or simply during typically off work hours, early morning and eve, weekdays and throughout entire day on weekends until 8:30 at night - so my ONE source of comfort is the occasional call back home from friends and family - and these s**ts will call, at times, 2X per 45 minute conversation! Cell "Ignore" option does not work, so I am unable to silence break-in, disturbance of these idiots during ANY call that I make/receive. Especially dreadful when on call doctors, work, lawyer, etc. I was seriously ill 9off work, hospital involved, etc)for 3 weeks this previous month, missed my payments for my credit cards as a result, have just been able to (physically able)to contact and make payments to creditors, most of them, I am unaware og GE Financial as being a creditor that I have relationship with, but if, for some reason they have become such a s*** ****ing, nasty company that I am now forced to deal w/ because they have absorbed some company that I am in relation with - you can be sure that I WON'T be paying them anytime soon, if ever or at all - call me once per day, you'll get a response - call my CELL phone (typically) 15-20 times per day - you can forget about it. This, by the way, is an at***ude that I NEVER used to have about my repayment to creditors before they became predatory and jacked my rates, percentages, etc up in the last year, not because of late payments or any bad history, no defaults, etc - but because my "debt to income ratio" became skewed when I had to charge appx. $15,000 on charge card because of medical bills during my last year of grad school. So, as a result, they have now "skewed" (pun on "scr*wed") themselves out of a good customer that was happy with my credit relationships, reasonable, and NOT disgruntled...

Got 2 calls from this number on friday morning but I missed both of them. When I did a google search I found this web page and tried calling the number back. I got an answering ma****e and it just kept asking me to put in my account number and or ssn and or zip code. I couldn't get past the recording to talk to a representative so I'm pretty sure this is one of those phishing scams trying to get your account information so they can steal your iden***y. DON'T CALL THEM BACK OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

It is GE Money Bank (representing Sams Club) and is legit. The system that they use to post payments frequently has 'errors' the most recent one on 10/16 and 10/17/08 which make it appear as if your account is in default even when you make payment. I would call and get payment confirmation #'s etc. just to be safe if they are calling it means THEY are showing you in default and THEY report to the credit bureau so I would take it seriously and cya...

I'm getting these calls from Hindus as well. Purportedly from "GE Money." They said I was behind on a credit card payment, which is not true.Could it have anything to do with the credit information tapes that GE Money lost, as reported in the following article?"GE Money Lost Backup Tape with 650,000 Card Holders Information"Friday, Jan 18th 2008 by Daniel Lim. You can easily find this article with a Google search.(The article says that the tape was lost in October, 1997.)
