Received a call from 312-201-6801. Being skeptical, I asked they call later this evening. In the meantime, I researched these folks. The facts are: 1. The CDC is currently resear****g immunizations via the NIS program. 2. The 312-201-6801 number is from Chicago, which is quite a distance from the CDC in Atlanta. 3. The number appears to be from the University of Chicago, a nationally recognized research ins***ution. 4. Further research produces the fact that part of the U of Chicago is so****ing called the NORC. 5. NORC translates to the National Opinion Research Center. 6. The NORC does its best to conduct scientifically bona-fide research in the social sciences. All of you may draw your own conclusions from the above facts, and, please, by all means, double check my research. S****s off claiming that it is a survey for CDC but very quickly goes into "what is your child's birth day, month, and year?" Like I'm going to give some bozo who calls me my child's private information. From comments they sometimes as for the social security number instead. This is either a scam to ruin the kids' credit or voter registration fraud. The first one is obvious but the second choice is so****ing I'm familiar with from living in Chicago -- last election I had 6 (six!) voter registration cards sent to me with slight variations on my name. Like they say in Chicago, vote early... vote often!

This is not a spammer it's an academic survey. The caller is the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago (their website is norc .org), one of the leading social suvery groups in the country. They do academic surveys for a variety of different groups, including the CDC. If they call you it's usually because your number came up as part of their random sample of households. They are exempt from the national Do Not Call list, which is why they can call you over and over a***n. If you don't want to talk to them, just answer and tell them you don't want to respond.

I got a call on my cell phone from this number. A young lady said her name and stated that she was calling from the CDC. I bit her head off for calling my cell and told her I was on the do-not-call list (another HUGE waste of tax dollars) and to never call me a***n. Yeah, I know, "She's just doing her job, it's not her fault, blah, blah, blah". Tough. It's wasting MY TIME and MY MONEY (used cell minutes) so I had every right to bite her head off. Just in case you were thinking of giving me some ****.

They keep calling my cell withou leaving a message. When I called the number it says "national immunization hotline". A google search shows its a survey being run by the CDC. Apparently they randomly generate numbers and call them. So unlisted numbers get called too. When I finally picked up, I told them to take me off their list. They never did. I had to have Verizon block the number. I have reported it to the FTC as well, ***ody should be able to call my UNLISTED cellphone number!

CID indicates it is NORC, which is the National Opinion Research Center, which is affiliated with the U of Chicago. This is a LEGITIMATE and well-known survey research organization. The CDC, is apparently one of their clients, as indicated in the voice mail message left. I wouldn't classify them as a spammer per se, but merely a caller not subject to the Do Not Call List.

The following information was found on line pertaining to phone call above. "The NIS is conducted for the CDC by the NORC at the University of Chicago. If you have any questions about the National Immunization Survey (NIS), please call NORC toll free at 1-866-999-3340." I too have ongoing calls from this number. Doesn't seem like an efficient way to spend tax-payer dollars.

I get these calls about every two or three days. They talk for ever telling you that they are from the government CDC agency and are doing a survey. I've asked them to remove me from their call list and immediately they **** up. But they call back the next day to try a***n, and a***n, ... I've stopped ansering their calls once a***n the calls s****ed. This time I told them to put me on their do not call llist but got disconnected befor I could say "put me ......" then I get the dial tone. This agency may be legit but they have ****s doing the calls. And they want even more PERSONAL info. Don't give them anything! Got to love this new Government Healthcare. I even called them (312) 201 6801 and have left message to stop calling me with my name and number. Guess what? I got even MORE CALLS! Do not take their survey! Do not give them any persnal info for they are ****s!
