I call the number back, it says to leave your name and telephone number to be removed from DO NOT call list, I've left 4 messages now with my name and number telling them to remove me from their list. Receive a call from the number daily. Never a live body on the other end. Sometimes call just ****s up. Other times a recorded message states that I was being called for a charity donation but there was no one available to talk to me and that they would call back. I have called the number and added myself to the do not call list but they continue to call.

Wow, some of you are hilarious. Sm**** thinking they're going to stop calling you because you're too smart to pick up the phone? They'll never take you off their list if you never bother to pick up the phone to tell them to. Next time instead of ignoring the call, or worse, ****ing up on human beings who work for non-profit orgs, try politely asking them to take you off their list. I gave for three years to an organization they raise funds for and when I could no longer give, I asked them to stop calling me. (And yes, Donor Services is legitimate.) There were a few more calls over the next two days while it went into effect, probably at each call center. I just told each subsequent caller that I had already asked to be taken off the list. They apologized profusely and said they would make sure I was on the do not call list at their call center. Finally after two days I never heard from them a***n. To me it was worth answering the calls for a few days to make sure I had been taken off the list. It was that or ignore calls everyday, or answer them and ask them "to call me back later." Of course they're going to call you back later! If you ignore the ringing, of course they're going to try a***n! I understand the frustration when dealing with telemarketers trying to sell you so****ing, but Donor Services only contacts people who have a connection to the organization they're calling on behalf of.

Received a call from this number at the doctor's office I work at. Very hard to understand the caller, sounded like they were calling from India. He said he was verifying our information for business listings, and proceeded to read off our address. After I told him that was correct, he passed me on to another indian, who said he wanted to verify. After reading off the info , he said he needed my birth month and day. I ***g up, they called back 3 times. When I answered, he said we were disconnected. I told him I ***g up, and would not give him anymore info, since my personal info was unrelated to business calls, and if he needed so****ing further, to contact our marketing dept. He became very rude and tried to persist. I told him to take me off his list, and ***g up.

These people call during the day. Today is Sa****ay and they have just called. No message is ever left but a **** up on my answering ma****e. They s****ed calling on 1/29 and have called 3 times total. After reading from another site they are apparently a company called "Americares" and they say that they are a non-profit company and are using a telemarketing firm called "Facter Direct". They are contacting former donors who might be interested in supporting their current responses to cr**** around the world. You can ask to be placed on their DO NOT CALL list by contacting Lee ****** at l******@americares.org and give them your name and address. I have not tried this, so I do not know if it really works. In this day and time I am s****ing to believe that calls like this are "phishy".

I have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks, I just had one a few minutes ago, which prompted me to google the number to see if I could get some info. I donate to charities, ASPCA is one I have donated to, as have others who have listed complaints on this website. If I am going to make a donation to a charity, I will make it through THAT charity, by check, by mail, when I am able to do so. I haven't answered the calls, but, after reading the comments from the person who stated we SHOULD answer the call, I will answer the next time, and I will tell them to stop calling. But, just in case I'm not home the next time they call, let me make it clear ~ STOP CALLING THIS NUMBER! THANK YOU!

They have called me 18x in 12 days - this is a disgrace and they're con artists as repulsive as those fake car insurance places. This is a for-profit company that claims to be fundraising for non-profits. The company goes by the names of Donor Services (catchy, huh?) and Facter Direct (spelling correct. They're running quite a scam: THEY ARE PAID EACH TIME THEY MAKE A CONTACT - MEANING EACH TIME YOU PICK UP THE PHONE, NOT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY RAISE. They also use the following numbers to call you:

I called the number. They are "Donor Services Group." You get a message saying that they're calling on behalf of NFP orgs that we've given to. To be removed, press #1 while the message is happening and you leave your name and number on a ma****e that says you should be taken off within 3 business days. I left my name and number - we'll see if it works.

I have receive a few phone calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. My caller id just tells me they are calling from West Los Angeles, CA. No company name. They usually call while I am out during the day. Never have left a message. I don't know anyone in California so I am leery on calling the number back...especially when they do not leave a message. At first I thought it could have been a wrong number, but it has happened far too often now to be a wrong number.
