SIMM****ociates student loan private debt collector

I received a call from this number. A Lavetta Blake leaved a nbr, 800-864-6083, which is CellZum. U in turn receive a txt msg for a Concierge service for $9.99/mo. Gotta be scam.

I received a call from 866-572-8803 from Simm****ociates about a debt owed by my former son-in-law!  We have absolutely nothing to do with him and am furious that this "company" obtained our number somehow to harass US!  When I called to inform them about this, the woman was rude and ***g up on me - she acted like it was my fault they were harassing ME!! Simm****ociates are the dregs of society.

This number  showed up on caller id today three times left no message. I do not answer calls that are from a city.

I just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from a number I do not recognize, I let it go to voice-mail (I figure if its important, they will leave a message). Even though the name for the Caller ID shows IXC COMM, the guy on the voice mail says he is from Sims****ociates. He has our names (my husband's and my) right, but I'm still not going to call him back. The voice-mail he left consists of the following (with the "case number" and our real names left out):This message is for [name] or [name], uh, This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims****ociates. Either one of you needs to call me back today it is very important that I speak to you, about an important business matter that you two have with my office. You can return my call back at 866-572-8788. Also when you call back please refer to file number [number]. [repeats file number]. This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims****ociates. Thank you.I refuse to call back, and if they call me back and I feel like answering the phone, I will record the call. I also have a very detailed, easily accessible caller ID list and I get an email with the voice-mail attachment from my phone company when I get a new one. (In other words, I'm planing for them to leave a data trail to prove that they were harassing me... if they call back).Also, I believe my husband has requested a certified letter from them proving that they own the debt and what the debt is about. Its been months, and no letter. Hrmm....

I received a call from this number saying they were Sim****ociates and they had "time sensitive information" for me that needed to be discussed immediately. And they gave an 800 number even though it came from this 302 number.

Got sevaral calls over the last month or so from Simms****ociates. Same "Important business Matter to discuss" on voice mail. I am not aware of oweing anyone any money and will not speak to them. However it is an 866 number (toll free).Just let any unknown calls go to voice mail.

I have received several calls from this company.. each identifying different names, etc.. but all asking for me.  They say they have a complaint a***nst me and want to speak with me..however, do not go into detail.  IDK what this could be about..I am past due on some bills due to loss of job.(so I can guess it is an unsecured debt of some sort)  I have told them several times to do it in writing..they refuse and continue to harass.How do I get rid of them??

A man called me at work at mumbled the name of the company he went on to talk about a credit card that I  owe. I explained tp him I can not take personal calls at work he went on I asked for the name a***n he mumbled it agian. He claims that his secretary has been calling me at home, which is a lie, He is threating to garnish my wages says he is going to fax the information over to HR. I asked for his number he would not give it to me began talking over me. He also claimed to be from a law office. He was very rude I don't think anyone from a law office s****s yelling at the other person on the phone. He says that in seven days they will s**** garnishing my wages. This is the first time I have heard from him. He called back and asked for HR but did not get through.

I keep getting a call from this company they laeve numerous messages asking for julius scott regaurding an urgent matter. I've read the over comments for other saying they are a debt purcasher or collector... However Julius Scott is my 8 month old son. How they got his name is completly beyond me. I just listened to my voice mail that had piled up 3 out of 10 messages were from this "company". They call from more than one number 1800 864 6033 and 1 800 846 0433. I think the next time they call I'll answer and give them a piece of my mind .

I got a call - this Robert Fine left a number on my voicemail claiming he received a call from my mortgage company regarding a civil suit filed a***nst me and them - I've never been served with a summons and my mortgage co. has not notified me of any such civil suit.  He said that he has held up a letter being sent to my employer ...  claims he was lead counsel for Sim****ociates (me mumbled the name and had to listed to the message three times before I made heads or tails of what he was talking about)  Left a number to call him back on as 800 864 6033 x 2086, but Caller ID says the number is 302 283 2800.

yes, the people in this debt collection agency are really rude and they want to scare people but too bad we are not dumb as them. they are simply wants to make money by insulting people. when this lady talk to me very bad i told her that i did recorded our cnversation and then she hand up the phone immediately.

a guy called for my boyfriend. He left a name of Steve Kramer said he was calling from Sims Furniture, gave an 800 number to call back as well (800-864-6033 ext 2044). I'm glad you guys have this site to verify what I already suspected...I'm just curious how did they get MY number?

This same number called me looking for my sister. Said he was with Sim and****ociates, gave an 800 number to call back. Refused to leave a message other than to give a case number. he wasn't rude, but stated he was an attorney working for this group and this was a business matter. I searched the number and came up with this site, very helpful. I HAVE A QUESTION: when your account is "sold" to someone else, i was told that you are not legally required to repay it because you do not owe that new person anything...is that true???? This person apparently did not pay her debts because her credit card company called I explained I was not her now some woman from a debt collection agency wants to call me at 8:30 a.m. on a Sa****ay morning and fight with me, be rude to me and insult my intelligence after WAKING THE WRONG PERSON UP????  Well, I have so****ing for the  too.

I received a call from this number.  He said he had one of my old accounts but he mentioned the wrong amount.  I have not even heard anything from this creditor.  He also advised that he was sending a deputy to my JOB.  Trying to scare me but I am not contacting him back.  I need to see things in writing before speaking with anyone.  He gave me an 800 call back number but I was in collections before nevertheless at work so I did not write it down.  However when he gave the wrong amount for the balance of the debt owed I became a little uneasy and stopped listening.

i just received a phone call from this place last night informing me of "a case pending a decision", and i knew it was a collection agency. ALL of my bills are current with payments on time so i knew so****ing was wrong. each time i tried to call the direct extension left by "megan foster" it went to voicemail. i called a fourth time and went to the operator who forwarded me to another agent/caseworker/whatever who proceeded to tell me that the call was regarding my "visa". i said that i am not overdue on ANY of my accounts and she continued to tell me that i owed money on my visa with "merrick" bank. i told her that i have NEVER EVER had an account with this company, and she insisted that i had an account with them. it was obvious that she was on the brink of becoming VERY nasty with me as i continued to stand my ground. i continued to tell her that i have NEVER had a visa card with "merrick" bank, and i have never even heard of "merrick" bank. finally the woman on the line asked me my birthdate and my middle initial. upon verifying that they were calling the WRONG person she rather unapologetically told me that they had called the wrong person and would be removing my number from their list. when asked one more time for verification that my number would be removed from their list the tone of her voice became rather snotty before ending the call. the experience made me rather angry that they were calling the wrong individual and giving me such and at***ude as if the mistake were my fault and not theirs.

They are debt purchasers.Tell them that you are herby warning them to issue further communication via writing ONLY and that if they call you a***n they are breaking the telecommunications act and you will report them to the police.Also make sure you tell them you record your calls for security purposes - even if your actually not.But try recording them. This company will make your life***** if you let them.Do your research and be in control. If your not comfortable doing this tell them what I said above and **** up. If they call you more than 3times in 1 day this is breaking the law.Do your reserch search "The Consumer action group" on google, you can find all the laws and info put simply on there.BEWARE, DON'T EVEN CONFIRM YOUR IDEN***Y/NAME TO THEM ON THE PHONE.

I keep getting calls from this number and the person is looking for somebody named francis.  I have repeatedly told them that I've had this number for well over a year and that there is no francis here.

Receiving calls for "Marlene" from "Mary Hartman" at "Sim &****ociates".  Not my name, nor is "Marlene at this number".  Have told them not to call anymore as is this is becoming harrassment.

"Mary Hartman" called from "Sim &****ociates" asking for "Marlene" (not my name) and said that my file had just reached her desk, and gave a six digit file number.  Have received other calls from this same company.  Have told them not to call a***n, Marlene is not at this number.
