Received a voice mail claiming that they were from the IRS and my husband was being charged with fraud, there was a warrant for his arrest and claimed that there was an error made on taxes from 2009-2014 but wouldn't say what it was. Said they sent a Federal Agent to the house twice and no one was home. When asked why we didn't receive any notification in the mail, they said they didn't do that. Threatened to freeze our accounts and so on. Then wanted us to stay on a cell phone all the way to the bank and follow their step by step instructions on how to western union the money. When as to verify that the call was legitimate, the person ***g up. What next?

just received a recorded call saying second attempt to reach me, this is the federal Magistrate about a serious crime, do not disregard this call, gave me a ph # to call, I didn't write it down, a***n said serious crime do not disregard this call. I ***g up, looked up the number which simply had a caller ID of Williamsport, MD and it is reported as a telemarketer. One I know I haven't committed a crime, second, if this was a real incident they would not give me this recorded message.

I just received a similar message 1-22-16 at 9:30 this morning from the same number. Don't let anyone scare you into doing things like this. if it was legitimate, believe me, the Feds, or the whomever would never call you and tell you to do this....the government knows how to find you. Don't fall for it. You would most definitely get a certified letter or garnished wages or what have you before they waste time chasing you down by phone.

Computer voice claimed second and final notice for some federal offence. Did not even bother to identify offense, my name, their name, case number, anything. Just a random "You're in deep trouble, but don't worry wondering who we are, what we think you did, or anything to confirm if we've contacted the right person". They ****! 1/23/16 I just received a call claiming they were from the irs claiming I was being charge in a criminal case for fraud gave me the case # saying I needed a attorney They are the fraud. I asked them if they were from the irs why didn't someone send me a letter and they claimed someone try to come by and talk to me another lie. Someone needs to report them.

12:51 am , Feb 1st was when they left this call. It was a robo voice call (I wish I'd caught the "name" - think it was a David) threatening to take it to a magistrate. Good luck with that, folks! My experience was very similar to Douglas's from 1/22.

Sleeze bag. Represented himself as Mike Delgado (with a strong Indian accent) as from the criminal investigation unit of the IRS. Wouldn't give me any information about my "case" until I provided the last four of my SS#. When I challenged him, he told me cursed at me and ***g up.
