These numbers in my opinion that are calling thru robot calls or any other means need to be looked at deeper in depth. It could be possible that they are being done to generate a herd of people to look up the number on line in which they can get your IP address as well as have all kinds of cookies that follow you on the internet which these type companies then generate a bundle of monies due from click ads etc. Wonder how these companies would stay in business if you quit resear****g numbers? probably go out of business. So how to stay in business for those that want a bunch of click ad hits. Use robot calls. There a***n this is only an opinion on how it can look to some when trying to determine the means for so much unsolicted phone calls being increased in numbers. A ton of money could be made this way is why it can appear to some as possible wrong business tactics Ask yourself what companies of all that stands to profit from you doing research on a phone number that called you. SPAM! What I did was create a new contact on my phone named "SPAM." I****igned my 10 #s I routinely get spam calls from & then****igned a separate ringtone to it. That way, I don't even have to LOOK at the dang phone to know it's a call I don't want to answer. I WISH AT&T would allow a blocking function, but they don't . . . so this is the best I could come up with. Better than nothing....

spam. obviously if u press option 1 like they say, to "let them know u dont want them to call anymore", it only lets them know ur # is a live person so that they can keep calling u. I programmed my phone so that when they call it goes directlt to vm. ofcourse theres never a msg left.

calls daily sometimes 3 a day. selling home security funny thing is it is a recording and there is no callback info. also if you call the number they call from it says you can remove your number but it takes 24 hours. load of **** I have done this 3 or more times calls continue to come......

call them back. You get a recorded message -- they are telemarketers and you are given the choice to opt out with the donot call list --- I am on the donotcall.gov list already. they say give at least 24 hours for it to take effect. better work or I am reporting to donotcall.gov.

My solution to spam calls: Create a contact called Iggy. Give it an icon of Iggy Pop (optional). Add to that contact all the phone numbers that spam you. Set that contact to go right to voice mail. If that option is not available, record a silent ring tone and use it for that contact. You're welcome.

They call often and yes, they offer home security systems. I have told them repeatedly that I am not interested, but it is no good. They call often late but sometimes while I am at work. Do not call registry is a joke and provides a false sense of security.......I still get calls from telemarketers.

Many phone companies will block numbers for you. If the same number phones repeatedly you can call them with the number. I seem to get calls from many different numbers so the annoyances are harder to manage. Good luck
