I agree Eric. They should just identify themselves. They're hoping the 'unknown' number will be somehow mysteriously appealing. "Hmm, maybe it's publishers clearing house with a million dollar check. I better answer..." How about a number that just identifies itself as '*** bill overdue' or so****ing similar. I already know for a fact that if I answer the phone, I'll have some rude 'courtesy' caller trying to muscle me into giving my account info over the phone anyway. Not going to happen. Of course, when my internet service slows down to ZERO kbps, I don't receive any calls, nor do I receive any discounts for the MANY HOURS that *** is too slow to even be used. Hmmm... where's the courtesy call when we actually need the courtesy?
