A person from one of these compaines just did this same thing to me, and when I told him I had no one here he could talk to he threatened me and said, "I'm calling the cops, your company is f*&%ed! Its 10am, (Its was noon btw), why is everyone at lunch? Your company is a bunch of f*&%ing a%&holes!" I am at work. My question is this, how can you speak to someone like that while they are working, and expect to ever get through to anyone? How is that legal? Just an FYI to the dude who called here...You and everyone within your company are dirtbags. P.S. If I had caller ID at work, I would have called them back ASAP. Does anyone know how to call back a number that just called you without caller ID?

Printer Toner Scam

This call is supposedly from Blue Cross & Blue Shield. They left me a message and you could barely understand what they were saying. I am very suspicious and don't think it is Blue Cross & Blue Shield.

Someone calls from a busy call center in background, before he says anything he demands to know your name.  If you don't cooperate or hang up on him he calls back and/or leaves threatening messages.  Says his name is Tom Diamond but gives no reason for call or what company he's with. Also gives different call back number than the number on screen.

There are some people that call about our copier, wanting us to order supplies, take over warranty, etc etc.  They say they work for "customer service," but when you ask them for what company, they normally hang up on you.  When you dial *69, the number can not be found.  So this guy calls, they pass the call to me, normal sales pitch, needs information on the copier, blah blah blah.I ask "what company do you work for?"  He says "What do you mean?""What's the name of the company that you work for?""Your boss.""What's my boss's name?""Your mother, b***h"and then he hangs up on me!  What wonderful customer service we have these days!!

I got a call from this comapany saying that they were calling for my model number as well. They call about once a week. The last time they phoned the nasty woman called me everyname in the book and hung up on me. I hope at some point these jerks are prosecuted to the full extent. I have found elsewhere that they get your model and start sending you toners and billing you for it; which is ridiculous since people with major copiers get their toner included with their service contracts! I am so angry but mine comes up unknown number.

We get calls from these people all the time and when I tell them if they are from customer service for our machine they usually hang up on me.  But today the very nasty man told me to "Shut up stupid" and hung up on me.  Of course you can not call the number back.

Got the same call just now, and usually do a few times a year. They say that they are our toner supplier and they need the model number off of our copier....hmmmm....if they are our toner supplier, woudn't they already have that information on file?  I'm glad, myself, and everyone listed here is too smart to fall for an obvious scam....You definitely have to be on your toes when answering the phone, even at home, someone's always going to try to pull a fast one if they can....sad.

Got a call from "Sabare" from "your copier service provider". She said they're updating "the manual" for "the photocopier", and asked what kind of copier we use.  I said, "If you're calling to update 'the manual' for 'the copier', then wouldn't it follow logically that you would already know what kind it is?" She got really ticked and said, "Wouldn't it follow logically that I'm sleeping with your husband?", and hung up.  I didn't have the chance to tell her that must be a very gruesome experience for her, seeing that my husband has been dead for 8 years!  These people are rude, unprofessional LOOSERS, just like "Company" said above.  Sheesh!

Can I just ask the other UK posters here if anybody who has received these calls actually knows anybody in LA where they might have gotten your number from? This number has frequently been phoning here there is some type of mumbling that we cant make out when calling the number from call display it tells us to phone back after business hours. When doing a reverse look up we have found it is from LA. Why on earth are they phoning here in ALberta! What a royal pain in the a**. Copier call to try and get info on make and model of our office copiers. When they ask for the model number off the machine we tell them "L-O-S-E-R- 4 L-I-F-E" and hang up on them.

Michael Ross called from this number claiming he was our copier account manager from Office Support Warehouse. Reqeusted we confirm the model number, etc. from our copier. Asked some questions about who he was and was told our toner charges were about to go up from 2.75 to 5.75 and they want to send a shipment before price was up. Office manager advised we are undera service agreement and don't need a shipment. Michael said "so...you were sucked into one of those huh? well keep on sucking!!!" Now they won't stop calling....

This guy called from this number and actually claimed to be our account manager with Konica Minolta! He wanted to send us toner so we could lock in rates before they went up on Saturday. I told him he was a scammer and he got all mad then hung up on me!!!

These people call me 50 times a day wanting to sell toner for my copy machine...I hung up he calls back to tell me how rude and that he is putting my name out there so 150 will call me a day i don't have time for this and I need to leave my phone lines open for my customers.

Tride to get information regarding serial numbers of our copy equipment. Stated his company was responsible for ordering service calls. Staff referred him to my phone,and when my answering machine picked up, he hung up without leaving a message. This is not the first time I have gotten a call like this, however it is the first time I have gotten the phone number.

Be careful with these people, because If you sign the paperwork they send over, it will cost you or your company thousands of dollars. Male caller said he was from Unicare and wanted to verify our business's tac ID number.  He read an incorrect number to me and then asked for the correct one.  I said I would be glad to fax a W9 form however he said he would have to call back because their fax did not work.

I recently overheard (while having a biz' lunch @ a local restaurant here in western PA) a speaker(cell)phone chat in the booth behind me between a few very nice professional folks from a local small biz' and the villians to whom y'all are referring above.  Their experience was similar to yours.  They, though, actually bought a couple of toner cartridges for $70 but were charged $465, which of course they tried to recoup via phone but were VERY rudely rebuked by one "John Wells" and one "Mike Watson" of this particular bogus firm, which is Network Supply Inc or something to that effect, over in southern CA.  They have no conscience or biz' morals/ethics, apparently, much to the disdain of my new lunch pals aforementioned.  I intro'd myself to these nice folks next to me & promised to investigate, as I've some "resources" which others do not.  These idiot losers over in CA are criminals, as it turns out.  They're liars, thieves & cowards whom have failed in life thus far & can only "earn" $ now via deceipt.These folks are also of a business terrorist nature, if you will.  Their pasts are filled with vile acts of fiscal crime which will surely catch up to them soon.  Meanwhile, I strongly recommend that all of you out there join the army of crusaders whom have targeted these particular rancid snakes & do ANYthing to disrupt their operation, i.e. calls, BBB reports, FTC reports, etc etc etc.  It will succeed, rest assured, and you'll be doing others like you a great favor which will come back around to you in time, as well.Meanwhile, to the Network Supply goons:  Your time's up, you gutless losers all.Gregory PattonWashington DC.Los Angeles CA-----

Toner Sales....Bogus call asking for Model #'s.

I was warned about this company when I started working here. Today they have called 5 times before lunch! They try to get me to give them the copier number but I don't have it (we have about 4 in our building) so I tell them I have to transfer them to our Supply Guy and they hang up. EVERYTIME! There's got to be a way to stop this. I will file something with the BBB today.

Out office just received 4 calls from this number today. Once person by the name of Ann said "up yours" and hung up when I told her I wanted to be removed from the calling list and was going to report the company. All three other calls we received resulting in the caller at this number hanging up on us.

We get so many calls, I'm automatically suspicious of a weird area code.  When I answered this call, male voice only said "Mailroom" in a weird tone.  I didn't respond, and just put him on hold.  He hung up and called back.  Meantime, I pulled up this number quickly on the internet and saw these comments, so when he called back the second time, I just picked up the phone and hung up on him.  Creeps!!!

Very rude woman called today, introduced herself quickly and before I could think, she asked me what model copier we had and I just blurted out that we didn't even HAVE a copier (untrue, but...). She promptly hung up. The number was listed as "private".

2008-09-05  -  I called 800-960-1138 and spoke to a Patty at Dynatech.  In reference to multiple phone calls from 213-537-1964.  She was very polite and apologize.  She said that she would have my company removed from the calling list and would speak to her supervisor about this.  I told her that we have received many calls and hang ups from people that work at the telemarketing company.  Lets see if this solves the problem and if they stop calling.  I will not hold my breath.

Someone named Scott calls from Dynatech constantly insisting to talk to someone in our shipping department. He is rude and an outright jerk. I will find out who he works for and report him!

I believe this guy has been calling us for the past few months.  I can barely understand what he is saying (thick Indian/Asian accent).sometimes it's for some employee, sometimes for a copier number, the guy apparently pulls information off the internet but doesn't seem to pay attention to dates since he called today for a business that we no longer run (closed it 3 years ago).  I normally don't even answer the "unknown numbers" I don't recognize but I was standing next to our corded pottery barn phone and thought it might be my hubby.  Very annoying - if he calls again I'll give the phone to my 2 year old and let him babble for awhile.  He likes to talk to people.

Called about copier today. I could swear the same guy (a man with a thick Indian accent) has called before about an employee and for our HR department. Calls and claims to be our supply representative for our copier, then asks for a serial number to look it up in their "database." If they were legitimate, they would already have that information before they called. Beware of scams like these!!!

I like to mess with these people when they call... and they call a lot! They told me today that they are shipping an order to us and that he needed to speak to the shipping supervisor. I asked him for the po#. He then said that it was something that they were shipping to us and not an order that they placed that we were shipping. I told him I needed the po# as reference before I transfered the call. He said that he had the supervisors direct # and would call her directly. Our supervisor is male.

I programmed my phone with their number, and set the personal ringer to "silent" so that I'm not disturbed by them.

Twice called, did not leave message.  Called number back - get voice mail asking me to identify myself while they do not identify who they are - i think Not.  My number is on a the DO-NOT-CALL registry, if it's a solicitor I have a tort to file.  Annoying.

Called offering a stupid magazine subscription. And yes, we have e-fax.

They call at least two times a day - have done so for the past few weeks.  We do not answer calls that come up as out of area or unavailable on caller id.  They don't give up.  And for the record, I don't have efax and have never heard of their magazine.

Judith asked for shipping I said speaking and she asked if I was still on Main St I said yes and she said she was shiiping me a new catalog and supplies and hung up, did not even give me time to responsed to her comment.

I'm so sick of this! They have called multiple times in the last two days, and I pulled out of a meeting as they called back-to-back 3 times in a row. I assumed it was an emergency. I call back, got a blank answering machine and they continue to call and hang up.Now that I've seen this other feedback I will also store it as junk in my phone and not answer. So lame.

My story is much the same as everybody else. The calling pattern is every few days at random times. It never leaves a message. The area code appears to be from Southern Cal.

This caller contacted us early AM...then hung up on me.  We get a free trade mag called STORAGE.  Seems a little too coincidental.  We are constantly frustrated by these hang up callers...computer or human they should be stopped.  At least have the courtesy to say something.  We do report all of these that we can trace.

I've been receiving calls for the last 10 days, every day from this number.  Each and every time I've let it go to VM.  All calls have been before 10:30 am EST...

I just got off the phone with one of those rude solicitors.  They trick people (that do not know any better) into buying random toner.  That's how they make their living. It is sick and disgusting. I am tired of them calling me. When I started asking him questions as to who he was, who he worked for, what copier is he speaking of (because they don't know- they just want to push toner on you then bill you).. he told me to shut up and listen to him. WTF?!?!  I then told him that is where he went wrong, it proved my point totally. That I knew who he was and what he was trying to do. This is probably against the law. I did hang up on him after telling him also to not ever call me again. I am sure he will try again. They always do!

Receiving ongoing calls from 213-537-1439. Each and every time I answer, they hang up. Have since decided NOT to answer them any longer and have saved the number into my cell phone under "TELEMARKETER - Do NOT Answer". Have done the same with past numbers as well, as it has saved me a lot of time wondering who the heck is calling me at 3 AM. These calls are coming at all hours of the day and night, so I'm guessing it's an automated system. As my cell number is listed on the Do-Not-Call list, I WILL be reporting these ongoing disturbance calls immediately.

They call to sign you up for free business/trade magazine subscriptions if you'll answer survey questions.

You can't register a complaint with the FTC.  Their website requires that you know who the business is.  If you answer that question, "No" on the website, no luck.  Have Gun Will Travel.

Calls like this are not made by humans, but by computers, that's why no one says anything on the other end. The computer records the date and time you or your answering machine answers the phone. The company then sells their compiled list to other companies who now know the day and time of the week to call you with the best chance of you answering.Your best bet is to note these calls and file the appropriate complaints with the DO NOT CALL LIST to build a history.

These people are horrible.Rick D. with this company called in yesterday and spoke with our receptionist who said they would be calling back today (which they did at 11:51am EST).  Evidently they thought she was taking an order (which they did to me about 8 months ago) and were calling to confirm it.  I told them no, we do not do business, do not want to order from you, and for them to stop calling us.About 2 hours later (at 1:50pm EST) Rick called back to ask to speak to our receptionist but she was out at lunch.  I told him I could assist him because she was doing my old job.  I then told him no, we do not want to work with their company and that I had already told them today to stop calling.  When he asked what their company was called of course I could not tell him what it was because they never share this information.  Never the less that was not the point, and I explained that it does not matter what their name is (the company we work with NEVER calls us about toner price increases because the price of toner is included in our fixed contract), in which case he kept interrupting me asking what their name was and when I told him he was very rude he told me no, I was rude.  At this point I told him to stop calling our office and hung up.  He immediately called back (at 1:51pm EST) and told me my office had placed an order for 5 things of toner, to which I asked to speak with his manager.  Suddenly I had somehow ordered 10 things of toner and I yelled at him that I wanted to speak with his manager right then and BAM!  I'd ordered 20 things of toner without even realizing or saying I wanted toner (evidently no means yes) and he'd hung up.  After I'd calmed down after about an hour and a half I called back and could not get through.  I'm assuming the number is only an out going line.I've sent an email to the information portion of the BBB with the number, hoping they've seen this before so the UPS guy doesn't have to bring 20 cases of toner to our office.  Even if the BB doesn't have information on this company based on the number alone I intend to get the company name off the boxes, refuse the shipment, get the number, and complain to every agency that looks over them and their corporate offices.Once I have this information I will gladly return and post any and all information I have for other people that are experiencing similar problems.

Pretends to be customer service or our copier.....this is FRAUD. I asked her what her company name is and she hung up. Companies, and people like this need to be procesuted.

Someone called with the pretense of "customer service for the photocopier". When I hung up on them they called back. When I asked who they were THEY hung up on me! I tried to call the number and could never get it to go thru.

Just had a call from a woman asking for our shipping dept.  When I told her I could help her because our shippers don't take calls she said, "Look, I don't have time for 20 questions.  Just give me the shipping dept."  When I told her my supervisor doesn't permit calls to that dept. she abruptly hung up.  The woman also said she was calling from Dyna Tech.

Got a call from a Darrell w/ Digitech. Ask for shipping said he was a customer and then hung up when I told him our shipping dept was not available. Same number: 213-537-1964.

These people say they're from "Customer Service" and that they need to verify our copier information. When I pressed her to tell me the name of her company, she hung up on me. I'm sure they're just trying to get information from us so they can invoice us for outrageously priced toner cartridges (I've had calls like this before) and then hope we'll just pay the bill without really looking at it.

This place has called back AGAIN 3 more times even after my last encounter (above).  This time, the caller sounds like a 6-pack-a-day smoker and when she is questioned about where she's calling from, she just hangs up.Next time, I think I'll set the phone down next to the computer speaker and let it play William Hung or some other horrible American Idol audition while they are "on hold".  I wonder how long they'll hold for someone listening to THAT.....

Identified himself as someone calling to 'let me know our toner price was going up.' He asked me for the model number of our copier. I told him we order all our supplies through our maintenance agreement contract, he hung up !

Just had the call this morning.. I female asked for the shipping dept.  I told her that I handle all of the freight.  She then said she needed the shipping manager who handled supplies.  I told her that would be purchasing & she hung up!  Last time that happened my production manager ended up with 1 box of $100 paint pens.  BE VERY CAREFUL!! They will say they are your vendors already & talk to someone who does not know their not to confirm info that allows them to ship things & they do not take returns.  I do not know how these people sleep at night!!

Got *another* one of the "copier supply" calls today. Decided I would mess with him a bit. "Ralph" informed me that he was calling with the company we buy our copier supplies from. (Keep in mind, we buy them from a small, local shop.) They were sending out a new catalog and he needed to verify a few pieces of information to be sure that he was sending out the correct catalog to us. He wanted our copier make and model #.I told him that he should already have that information if he was already supplying us with copier supplies. He said that he didn't and that's why he was calling.I said, "That's because we don't buy supplies from YOU," to which he replied back (sternly) "Yes you DO."I replied back, "No we don't. I'm the OWNER and I know where ..." but before I could finish he hung up.We've gotten so many of these calls in the past, usually for the copier, but occasionally for office supplies and paid print advertising . I had already had a rotten morning and decided I would pass it along to this idiot on the other end of the line. Try it sometime, it's kind of fun! Made me feel a bit better!

Chris Neilson constantly calls my place of employment and harrasses me. he call me disrespectful names etc..

I work for the company that is recieving calls from the above number. They insist we order toner and printing supplies through them, even though the number is based out of California, and we buy locally. We have explained this many times and have asked numerous times to be taken off the call list, and they refuse, sometimes rudely. Once the caller even cursed at us.

I had placed a service call to Danka about some lines that were appearing on the copied paper. Shortly after, Some one in my office sent me a call they had answered. The guy had my name (don't know how unless co-worker gave it to thenm, but they said they did not)and was telling me ALL ABOUT what I had called about so I figuered it was Danka. When He was asking for the model number and saying that he had placed a call to the tech and would be "sending out our new service manual that was included in the price" I told him that he would have to wait till my manager got in tomorrow, I was not authorized to make purchaces. He then asked for my last name (gave the wrong one)then said ok, then hung up.

Today I received another one of these calls.  Must be the 4th this month.  Wanted to know if I wanted my supplies sent Priority.  After 3 calls this was not new - I told him that the repari man was just leaving and he brought me the supplies I needed.  I asked if he wanted to speak to him before he left -  Surprise - He hung up.  I really wish I could get them to give me a company name so I could report them.

This number calls every hour asking about the company's copy manchine numbers etc...Have advised not to call, have warned not to call, now they are telling us to shut-up.I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission, ha, lets see what happens from that.

Just recieved a call from this number, I do all of the ordering for the company and they were talking about toners and said that the price adjustment for it happened March 1st and it was their fault they didn't send anything out. Said they were going to send toners with invoice later to follow because company usually does this. I said no because I do all the ordering placement and we never used them and they said to hold on then hung up. Tried calling back. Dead line.

This number called me, unsolicited, on 2/12.  I was in the middle of something and did not know the number.  I picked up the phone and laid it on the table and went on with my business.  Well, at 7:22 am this morning I got paid back (??)  This time I answered and got hung up on.  When you call the number back it sends you to an ext to leave a v/m.  What kind of "business" doesn't have the balls to speak to potential customers?  Do they think this type of "customer service" is 'charming'?  I saw where 1438 is a free trade magazine called STORAGE (or something)and since the number is so close to 1439..hmm.  Anyway people, let's join forces and when you get a call from this number DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.I must say that I WAS impressed that a Calif # was out of bed @ 5:22 am just to call me!  I feel so special!  (Needless to say, I'd already been up for 2 hrs, so the call did NOT wake me up)

These guys called me today...I could hear laughing as I picked up the receiver, so I knew it was going to be some kind of shady operation.  Once he stopped laughing, the guy spoke very quickly and said, "Customer Service, we're calling about the photocopier."  When I told him that he must have the wrong number, we don't service photo copiers, he said that he was calling about OUR photocopier and wanted the number on the back.  He promptly hung up on me when I advised him I wasn't going to give him that information.  I too, tried to call the number back, but there was just dead air.  I hate calls like this because, for one, they're up to no good, and secondly, I waste time trying to figure out who they are!

They called spoke quickly regarding a catalog, then asked for the series number for our copier when i responded with "we do not have a copier here" they hung up. Who are these people?

Lady called asking to speak to shipping department.  When I told her I could help her, she slammed phone down & disconnected us.

Woman called, said she was from "DynaTech" shipping supplies and that she thought I had spoken with Lori last week and wanted to verify our shipping address. Evidentally, once you verify your address then they take that as confirmation to send you a shipment that you did not order, usually way overpriced shipping tape or marking pens or something like that. JUST HANG UP!

Very rude individual asked to speak with whoever handles "supply ordering".  I asked what kind of supplies, she said, "is it you" or another person (names the name).  I told her we weren't interested, hung up. She called immediately back to state "you aren't the one I called to talk to and I WILL call her back".....very rude.  I traced the number - apparently this is a common problem.
