I received a call from this number. This is a telemarketer/donations center that works on behalf of several arts/humanities or***nizations. When I said I would donate to the ******ia Symphony, but I would like to receive a mailing with the form and address, the person said they didn't like doing that since it cost so much money to send mailings. I told him I would not give my credit card number over the phone to just anyone who called asking for it. I said I needed a number to call back. He gave me the 877 number. He told me he could give me some information about me - my address (correct), my 'patron number' - which is on the symphony tickets, and then he told me the purchases I had previously made for the symphony - which were not correct. I ***g up and googled the number and came here. I wont donate through this number. I'm not sure if it is a scam or not, but I'd rather be safe and I'll donate through the Symphony's website and not a cold-caller.

I think Ivor may be right, or at least a similar organization.They called me about package offers from Shakespeare Company of NJ (I went to a show last year). They were informative and knowledgeable and gave me a number to call back to follow up. I ended up purchasing tickets a couple days later for several shows and appreciated the targeted information

Just missed a call on my cellphone from 212-279-5150 and when I called back, there was a "this is not a working number" message from the telephone company.Being able to google the number and find out that many people get calls asking for donations from this number is very helpful, as I never consider donating to organizations that initiate the calls since I have no way to know who they are, especially in this case where I cannot even call back to verify anything. It is great that other people report this so you know what you are dealing with.

they called me to from 212-279-5150 some guy names gregg very pushy about donating. I told him i would not just give up a cc number to anyone out of the blue! he became rather irate! i told him to give me another number or if i could reach him at the number on my caller id-- he gave me 877--695-9629 i didnt call anyways-- i dont know who these people are.

I get this call all the time. For sum it maybe the Brooklyn Museum.But for us who are around Pittsburgh, it's the Pittsburgh Public Theater. I made the mistake talking to them one time!
