We exchanged numbers and they started talking about crypto currency and tried getting me to invest.

Stated I could have a loan for $5000 if I paid $150 for PPI insurance to cover loan if something happened to me. I advised him that was not the way PPI worked. And advised him not to call back and blocked his number.

They said that I have been approved for a 20k loan and that I needed to get a loan insurance in order to get the funds deposited into my account. But the cherry on top was that I have to pre-pay for the insurance and the only way to do that was to send $150 via cash app to some random number. The insurance company was non discoverable anywhere. Lol... nobody fall for this scam!
