I did a phone number check on this number and it is listed to an Alisha M Carney. 27 year old from Boise and various towns in Idaho. There are two tax liens a***nst her. She is an iden***y theft and scammer I think.

Calls every afternoon! Waits till answering ma****e finishes playing message then ****s up. On all do not call lists & do not owe $ to anyone. Usually get similar type call right after. Caller Id on this one says Miami & a phone #. No msg. either.

Hey guys...the "do not call list" only applies to telemarketing. Clearwater is not a telemarketing firm. They are doing health surveys for the health department to better aid in tax spending. Why do you think we have free clinics and health seminars? People have cancer and heart disease and can't afford to get the help they need. These surveys let the state know what the stats are and then help make decisions on how to help people get health care. Eithet dont answer if you dont have the time (you will still be called until a new survey s****s or whatever) or take 15 minutes out of your day to take the survey (and not be called a***n) and know where your tax dollars ate being spent. Youre helping you and other residents and the state out for the better.

They actually dont have a list. the numbers are computer generated. They are healtg surveys. How do you think the cdc gets their stats about smoking, cancer, diabetes, etc.?

Called me twice. SPAM!!! And they claim they are a survey and don't have a "list" to take you off of.

Call came in to give ibfo to the board of health to keep records updated, and complete census, to help others.

Its 8 pm. They called for the second time. They left no message.

I will not give any unformation to these ppl. As far as the education that these ppl have, dont forget some ppl dont work for a cold calling ins***ution in this counrty. I for one have two college degrees...

I am an employee of Clearwater Research. What I read here is truly scary and pathetic.  The company does research for the CDC and State Health Departments across the United States and are hired to do so.It is completely anonymous for those called.  The computer system takes the state area code and prefix then generates every possible number combination.  Initially, when the survey for your state is new, many Ph #'s are found to be no longer in service, business, etc. Some answering ma****es do not indicate whether it is a private residence or a business line--therefore the number is called till a person answers. NO ONE receives 4-5 calls a day or 13 or whatever.  You are lying for effect. You get called till you give a viable reason why you should not. The interviewer asks for how many adults over the age or 18 and how many are men and how many are women, is so the computer can randomly select who is to be interviewed.  It is a scientific survey looking for a good cross sample of all adults and both ***es. This is not the fault of the caller/interviewer, but a requirement of the client that Clearwater Research has the contract with...such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the State Health Department where you live.  The Health Departments and CDC have been  doing this for 25 years! There is no list to be removed from and you likely will be called when your state runs a new survey at a later date as no records are kept of Ph #'sYou are never asked any question that can identify you such as last name address etc. even your    Ph #  is removed from the data collected when the call is over.  When you are wat****g TV and the news anchor says: "Today the CDC reports that men/women from ages 35 to 60 (for example) are at high risk for...." this is where that info comes from!  So calm down. By the way, isn't ranting and or lying about a subject the least effective way to solve it? People like this are the least educated in our country. This line of thinking gives us the poor representatives that we have in elected office today.Why, because you will believe a lie before listening to simple facts. Burn the witch sort of thing. More 'make work' for the government sector funded with our tax dollars imho.  A result of an 'en***lement'  gov't gone completely out of their fiscal minds. 'd like to know why the federal (CDC) or state government (Texas Department of State Health) has****umed responsibility for monitoring the health and behavior of its citizenry.  Last time I checked, government was charged with a very limited and specific role according to the US Cons***ution and any state cons***ution.  I'd also like to know why the need to obfu****e.  We have received two calls a day for the last 6 weeks in addition to multiple letters via snail mail.  The first call of the day always comes from the Texas Department of State Health and when we decline to provide personal information (yes, health status and behavior IS personal information and no, the above described ****ods do not prevent the gov't or its contractors from identifying the respondent), we receive a second call within hours from someone identifying themself as surveying on behalf of the CDC.  They always want the same exact thing...to speak with the 'second oldest female' in the home.   So which is it?  Is this survey for my state gov't or the federal gov't?

Yes this is Clearwater Research.  I have been receiving computer dialing calls from this number for the past month.  I get between 2 to 15 calls a day from them.  They are on my block list so I get the initial call, then my phone blocks them.  I love this feature on my phone system.

JC,What is scary and pathetic is that folks like you think what you are doing is okay, and that anyone who objects to it must be "scary and pathetic".  There are many valid reasons why thoughtful, reasonable, and educated people might object to this sort of activity.Get a clue.

These folks have been calling our house for the last few weeks.  We don't answer/ they don't leave message/ & we're on the Don't Call list.  I'll have to try callling back and complain.  Thanks for the info posters!

Maybe you should find out why we want the government to but out of our lives, and stop wasting our money.

We've been getting one or two calls a day from this research company for 3 weeks or more.  We did not answer for two weeks but it was getting ridiculous.  They told my wife they wanted to speak with the oldest make in the household for a NY Dept of Health survey.  Next time I had a chance to talk, I answered and told them I did not want to parti****te in the survey, please take us off their call list, and never call back.  Unbelievably, they called twice the very next day!  When i got home, I called the number on caller ID, selected the options for the appropriate survey, then selected the option to speak with a supervisor.  I expressed my displeasure.  She explained that they need two negative confirmations before they stop calling.  I gave her my second and asked that they never call a***n.  She agreed that she would remove me from the survey.  I highly advise calling them if you are bothered by these calls.  It took two minutes or less to put an end to it.

You should all call your state health departments about this. I called my local health department and they offered me results for the survey as well.  Clearwater Research is contracted through them to do surveys with your tax dollars. Maybe you should find out about them before you s**** talking all this nonsense. I did a survey and it wasnt that bad. I know if there is so****ing that I can do to affect what is being done with my tax dollars I am going to do it.

i got a few calls from this number as well as several others, it really puts the caller off balance when you answer as another (fake) telemarketer and try to sell them so****ing or tell them "This is a secure U.S. Military line and we are tracing this call, you have 8 seconds to **** up or be arrested for interferecne with a govorment offical...." and see how long it takes to for them to **** up.

they called tonite---sunday, of course--when the idiot said they wanted information for the nys health dept, then asked if that was my number, i said no, and ***g up.    the phone cos are at it a***n, and they should all be fined!  i am keeping track of every call i get, and the time and dates.   i have an unlisted number too!  what good is it?   write to the atty general.

This company has been calling at least once a day for the past several weeks.  Sometimes thay call multiple times.  I don't bother answering.  My number is on the "Do Not Call List".

These folks have been calling us.  The first time they said they were from the CDC and wanted to speak to the oldest male household member.  I said he was at work.  Each time they called he wasn't here, but tonight they said they were from the Vermont Department of Health, which of course is closed for business at this time of night!I'm going to let our DoH know about this, as well as anyone else who will listen.

Got a call from them on May 1st, told them I wasn't interested in giving them any information and to take my name off their call list. I am on a do not call list, so hope someone can do so****ing about them.  They called a***n today (May 4), didn't answer it and they didn't leave message.
