Ally Carter contacts via text message and pretends to want to be friends. Switches communication through WhatsApp and then through Line. Questions about investing in Bitcoin and eventually used me as a bait to steal the money I have invested when its time to withdraw the funds.

I received a call from a woman who alleged to be from Amazon about a $795.00 charge on Amex account on my house phone, or landline. I looked up the number and it shows that it originated in Portland Maine. I called Amazon to see if my account had been compromised and I was told that Amazon will never call their customers about charges to their account and that they would never ask for any information about my personal account and it was probably a scam. She informed me that these kinds of calls are going to become more increasing and she would look into the issue. I didn’t list this a a spammer as it may be someone who is using a legitimate persons phone number as a s****. The Customer Service Representative at Amazon took the number and said that they would send it over to the Fraud Department for further investigation. I checked the only card on file at Amazon and it shows no charge for the amount. Their where also no new items than what I have recently purchased. I guess as people are not working and we are in the middle a pandemic, they have gotten desperate and are trying different ways to get people to give them information about their card over the phone. I ***g up immediately and called Amazon and didn’t interact with the person on the other end.
