206-424-2771 called and said he was from Amazon and I needed to purchase security cards and that Amazon would refund me for the cards. He was the tech that would solve unauthorized purchases on my account.

I, too, got a call from this Number, and since I don't answer any calls that I don't recognize the Number, I just let it go into "Voice Mail" Of course they didn't leave a message. ANOTHER Scam!!! Will these People NEVER Stop?? Oh well! Another Phone number added to my "Call Forwarding Selective" List, on my House Phone, as my "Call Screening" (Blocked Phone Numbers) List, is full! Now, when they call, it'll forward their call to a Disconnected Phone Number! Hahahahahaha! To see if you have either one of these things, on your Landline, just dial *60, for "Call Screening" and *63, for "Call Forwarding Selective", and if you do, then just follow the Prompts. :o}

As a tech who has to fix the damage done by these people, I can most****uredly tell you they are out for your personal info. Most sound very genuine when they call. Windows based computers often generate errors that you never see because Windows takes care of them without your help. There is a log of these errors and the callers "show" you these errors "proving" they are there to help. NEVER allow them to take control of your computer. As to Microsoft, they have literally billions of computers with one of their operating systems. There is no way they could or would single you out, find your phone number and then call you. They have their money and have no need to call you. **** up on these thieves and block their number from your phone. Warn people around you that this scam is going on and to do the same thing, **** up and block the number.
