Kicker here is, I am NOT the head of household when filing taxes. Wouldn't they want to speak with my husband rather than myself being how I didn't work in 2014? I found out who is calling me finally. I went to http://www.whoiscalling.info and now I know more about them then they do about me. Made me feel like a private detective. I'm in power now not the scum bags calling me over and over! The next time they called I addressed them by name and said calling me won't be tolerated! I haven't got a single call from them again, I'm sure I scared them off when I addressed them by name. I took back my right to privacy! I recommend doing this for anyone who is sick of getting unknown calls. Happy Holidays. :)

Received call from (202) 480-5620 Cellco D.C. on 10/8/11 and it appears to be affiliated with another call I received on 10/24 from (503)-302-7137 Cellco Oregon. Neither call was answered and have since read several online comments about both being tied to a cruise scam. Oddly enough, the first call came a few days after I participated in, and apprehensively entered my cell number, an online survey regarding a local fast food visit; but could be coincidence.

I got the same call and I'm sorry I missed it. I always have the most interesting conversations with telemarketers :) Don't get mad at them, they are just trying to do what everyone else is doing, make money. Scammers, on the other hand, you can have some REAL fun out of them. I usually turn the tables on them. They start asking for my information at which time I tell them that they should already have it. I also tell them if I have won something to just go on ahead and send it to me, since they know my phone number and my info they shouldn't have any trouble. It usually gets pretty interesting with the person on the other end getting frustrated and hanging up never to call again HEHEHE (evil laugh)

People sell you information (cable companies, phone, cell phone, etc). even if they say they dont, they do. so your phone got a randomly generated call from a "phone robot" so you can take some kind of survey. if you are that upset about it file a complaint at the FCC website, wih number that called you and the date and time. i recomend setting your phone up to stop random calls by either an app or through your provider. every phone company can do it, don't let them tell you otherwise

I got a call from the 1-202 number .... no one on the other end. I was getting this call about 3 to 5 times a week. I got my cell phone bill and it showed I had call several places in Europe. I have never called anyone outside the US on my cell phone. The phone calls totaled $1000. plus. Went to AT & T and they asked if I had gotten a call from the number 202-480-5620 and I said yes several times a week. They told me they were stealing my number to make international calls. They said what they do is call and you answer and they know it is a working number. They then make a collect call and charge it to your number. AT & T will block the number but there is a fee to do this. Their advice is don't answer any numbers you don't know....hard to do for me as my cell phone is a business phone.

The company is called: Answer Solutions (aka Toll-Free Zone) 1511 East State Road 434, Suite #3017 Winter Springs, Fl 32708 800-308-6383 The number in Washington, DC, is one of many numbers they use. They even (reportedly) have numbers offshore (Britain, New Zealand, etc.). And, their calls have two purposes: 1) If you answer your phone (or when asked, "press 1," revealing your number), your number is stored with a list of other "valid" numbers and later "sold" to telemarketing companies as a valid number to call. This is like email scammers who, if you reply to their emails, know your email address is a "real" email address - which they can sell to other email marketers. 2) If you get to the point of actually answering their survey questions, your answers provide them with specific demographic info about you - allowing them to sell your number to telemarketers who use "targeted" marketing. In short, if you answer their survey questions, your number is more valuable to other telemarketers. To stay legal (assuming they want to), they might even give out a single "free trip" to the Bahamas one a year. But, it's probably just a scam to get as much demographics out of you as they possibly can. BTW, I just bought a $9.95 Tracfone (a prepaid Samsung cell phone). And I just got a call on it from them. But cheap though it may be, it has one nice feature. Owners can add a caller's number to a "reject list" - disallowing future calls from the number to even go through. We received three notices with our owner's name and our DOT # trying to get us to take a training course-BOGUS!

The fax was sent to our number, but to a company and person not even at this location for 3+ years. If the DOT compliance training were mandatory, on an annual basis, why would they not have sent the fax in past years? Maybe Supervisor Compliance (the name given on the fax) needs training in FCC compliance!

Yeah, we received this, too, but it was intended for a company and individual that's no longer here. First time we've received anything about DOT compliance. Why would they decide to send a notice 3+ years after that company has moved out if it was legitimate?
