This number called me a***n today, with an automated message. I ***g up and then dialed the number on my caller ID, and got another automated recording. It explained that I had requested a follow-up call from an online site or survey, or from an affiliated site or survey. So I am guessing my ifo somehow got phished from so****ing online. The recording then went on to give me the option not to be called from the parent firm that handles these calls by pressing 1, so I pressed 1. It then told me I had been removed, but that it could take up to 10 days for the calls to stop. 10 days to process that?!? Give me a break!! But anyway, there's some more info on how to make it stop, if anyone is interested.

I show Cliffside Park, NJ on my caller ID. How they reach our numbers is simple. They use an automated dialing device, which dials all numbers in a given exc****e such as 419-473-0001,0002,0003 and so forth. They call fax ma****es, unlisted numbers, cell numbers, etc. These are illegal and violate the TCPA. I have filed a complaint with the FCC. I have been called by four different numbers in regards to auto warranty scams. The FCC needs to ***** down on this and jail the perps. People have been getting calls around three in the morning. To Naveen, above me. If they called you before 8 in the morning, that is also a crime. Law states they can call between 8am and 9pm, unless your number is on the do not call registry (donotcall.gov). Politicians and non-profit charities are exempt. Auto warranty is not.

RIP OFF!! I answered, someone coughed then I got a message that my car warranty may be expiring. This is a sales gim**** so just ignore it, **** up on it, or better yet don't answer it. This was on my cellphone which is even worse. DON'T ANSWER. Put them in your blocked listings or do as I do with this type of call and add it to a phone book listing ***led DO NOT ANSWER. That way when these people or other people I don't want to talk to call, I just click to ignore and send them to my voicemail to check and erase later.

If this is really an agent for c****e, then I would like to file the following complaint. This number has called my phone at least 50 times. It offers auto warranty extension. When you press #2 to be taken off the call list, they still call. And, when you press #1 to talk to a live person, the minute you log a complaint they just **** up on you. Really, come on, if this is really a compliance outlet, save all of us and get this line shut down.

I was told my warranty was about to expire on my vehicle by an automated ma****e and asked to press 1 to **** up or 2 to continue. I pressed 2 a human came over the phone and asked for my YR, MAKE AND MODEL of my vehicle. I replied to them since you know my warranty is about to expire why don't you have this information about my car? And then there was silence and they ***g up on me. Listen and Thinkfast.

When I answered the call there was a recorded message about a 2nd notice for an auto warranty that I never requested. I had the option to talk to someone so I punched option 2 so I could find out the company complete name. I was told the company was "Warranty Activation Center". My auto is over 10 years old and have not had a warranty on this car for over 6 years.

Ladies and Gentlemen...the Do Not Call list doesn't make it so you cannot be called. It is a tool used to keep LEGITIMATE businesses from bothering you if you are not interested in their services (with conditions, exceptions, etc.). This number came up on my caller ID as Auto Warranty. While I am smart enough not to answer it, it worries me that others may actually think this is some company calling about their auto warranty and give out their info. I just hate that these companies keep calling, even though I am on the Do Not Call list -- what more can I do?!?

The phone rang twice and when I picked up, the line was dead. My first reaction was to call and give them a piece of mind for calling me early in the morning, but after resear****g this, that is the action they want. By calling them, they are now immune to the no call list. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

I work in an office building, this number calls several people in the building because all of our numbers are similar. I have pressed "2" to remove from the calling list, and you get a confirmation but yet they still call. I called the number and asked "Can you please tell me what company this is" and they **** up on you.

Received call at 2:56 PM on 26 Feb. Open line, heard what sounded like a cough and then empty line. When redialed I got a recording telling me that this was a displayed number by a telemarketer that I had signed up for. NOT. they just use that as a catch all to sell you products.

This is a scam designed to encourage people to redial the number on their caller ID, a percentage of which will select '2' to hear 'special offers'. They try and skirt Do Not Call by saying that the ID number is used by many companies. These people are Sh_tbags!

Calling the number back also got a recorded message, this time saying that any one of 15 companies could have been calling my house and I should **** on to listen to their adverti*****t.
